So here's that exercise pen again, now serving its intended purpose. Tristan can come out to the barn with us (on a lead), and be safely ensconced in the pen while we feed the horses. He won't get underfoot while our hands are full. Tristan can see the horses on the way to and from the barn, and he can watch from a safe place while we--and Yvaine--interact quietly with the horses. Firefly adores small animals, and would like to get a closer look at the puppy, but she is a Very Good Girl and does not step beyond the mats laid under the barn gate. Firefly will have to be content, for now, with seeing Tristan as he goes through the pasture. [Image Description 1: Tristan, a black and white cocker puppy, sits in an exercise pen in a barn. Meet Tristan! He is 4 months old and has two modes: unconscious and Warp 9.
This child is so wriggly. So wriggly. I can’t get a photo of him better than this today, I’m too wiped! Too much driving.
He will have to learn sit, lay down, and stay before we can get photos of him with Yvie, I think. She sits and waits, he teleports to the other side of the house.
He throws his ball and fetches it, he drops the ball down the steps and retrieves it, he bats the ball with his forepaws, he is SUCH a cocker spaniel.
But he is still a very, very different li'l boy than any other dog we’ve had. He’ll fit a different piece of our hearts.
