Today’s Daily Dog Doodle:
A mighty warrior blocks your path, what do you do?
I play the “Unlikely Romance” card.
Well, Adventurer, that seems to have worked!

it’s been over five years and the stretch he does where he covers his nose with his lil paws is still abysmally cute
It is the MOST wonderfully ridiculous thing dogs ever do, aside from all the other equally wonderfully ridiculous things they do.
It’s over, Anakin. I have the high ground.
I think it's safe to say Kovu and my childhood dogs are best pals
I have died of cute.
It’s over, Anakin. I have the high ground.
Cuteness rerun. Tristan still boops every snoot within reach, as often as possible.
A very short story, in three parts.
I’m…
…not…
…sleepy.
Chilly morning blanket snuggles are a gift of cuteness.
It's over, Anakin. I have the high ground.
The cute is too overwhelming. I am speechless.

Seriously, my heart just can't take this level of cute.

Somethin’ tells me Yv’s into somethin’ good
(Somethin’ tells me Yv’s into somethin’)
Good, oh yeah, somethin’ good

I love the way Yvaine pulls her nose back to closely examine whatever she's chewing. Mostly it's cardboard, but occasionally I don't want to know.
The Spaniels keep finding new ways to surprise me. I was concerned, but it turns out this is JUST ADORABLE.
I have been hearing a sound for a couple of days that I never saw. It was sort of a wheeze, maybe a quiet choking? I was concerned because Merlin’s COPD, and a possible choking sound is always worrying. But everything was fine, no one was choking, it kept being a one-off.
Then… Today when it was time to Go Feed the Big Doggies, Merlin got excited and gave some repeated doggy excitement-impatient-sneezes. That’s the sound! This is new for him… and IT IS SO UNBEARABLY CUTE YOU HAVE NO IDEA.
Tiny, wheezy, deliberate snorty-sneezes that sound so delicate and precious, with a teeny little head toss, oh this is just *too* much. Oh, Merlin. Of course he stopped when I tried to record them (of course), but I will try again later.
Look, the li'l guy has found another way to express himself. Oh, delight.

Sharing a cardboard box: Yvaine brought it to bed, tears chunks off. Merlin takes the chunks and shreds them further. Go Team!
Yvaine resting her chin on Merlin, both of them cuddled between my arm and my chest.
I think they might have missed us.
