The DOOM Spaniels

The dog bed that's usually by the bedroom door has been temporarily removed for laundering... but the Spaniels almost never use it anyway.

Then in the evening as we were waiting for Tristan's Fetch and Tug Buddy, I gave Tristan a 20oz plastic bottle (couldn't find my usual big canister of gatorade powder anywhere). Tristan took the big ungainly thing in his mouth by the cap, then sleepily, pitifully walked in circles where that dog bed usually is. Plastic bottle sticking out at an angle, going round and round.

Until I grabbed a dog blanket off the bed and put it down there. Tristan gratefully flopped onto the blanket and gnawed at the bottle top for a few minutes. Then he tossed it away, and watched to see if anyone would come steal it so he could play keep-away.

Tristan's Fetch and Tug Buddy requested to sleep in half an hour longer. (I had fed and Sniff Patrolled the Spaniels already.) It was a crummy night and morning, the Big Doggies wouldn't mind waiting a bit.

But we forgot... Tristan knows the schedule. It was TIME TO GO. And Tris was gonna wriggle and boop faces until we got our bodies moving.

What happened to Sniff Patrol?? Tristan would like to register several complaints through "official channels"[*].

(Sniff Patrol was unavoidably postponed today, but "later" is a difficult concept for a puppy who wants to run around NOW. Like in the deal!)
