They're *sharing* the pillows! They do NOT approve of this late football game. Fåthř should be at home by now! Sadness, sadness and sorrow as only a Spaniel can.
My favorite thing about baby Belgians is the sheer drama of it all
*flump* *sigh* *sneeze*
Oh, it's a haaaard life, being a puppy.
Guinevere has observed that I feel better today, so she is Dramatically trying to entice me to play.
Oh, what naughty thing did you find out in the field, honey?
Whatcha got? Show me.
*Gwyn rolls over on her back to give me a very clear view of the T-bone in her mouth, without letting go in the slightest*
Ah. Melodrama. You have melodrama. And also something dropped a T-bone inside our fences for some reason. Okay.
Since Tristan was still out on Sniff Patrol, we practiced "show" and "give" of very precious treasure, with lots of treats AND getting the precious treasure back immediately.
~Melodrama Puppy~
A Very Sad Guinevere was stung by something last week. I saw her suddenly stop and start biting her right foreleg (I've been looking for a wasp or ground hornet nest, haven't found it yet but I'm still looking). It was so painful, I thought she might have pulled something. My vet authorized benadryl and NSAIDs, which helped Sad Guinevere past the initial sting, and now there's just a welt left.
Gwyn brought Tristan her purple ball, which is too large for Tristan even if it weren't storming so he just wants to take a nap.
They discussed it with much snuffle-booping.
Gwyn was sad. Gwyn was INCONSOLABLE.
Tristan was regretful. But he still did not want her ball.
Tristan's Fetch and Tug Buddy was away for the evening and (after his text notification sounded) Tristan was sure he should be home *right now*. All the sads. Tucking his nose under the door, waiting.
But do you see this accusing glare from the protective baby sister? Look at Gwyn going to keep Tristan company, and Judging me for failing to comfort him.
There was a Big Truck *on* Tristan's farm, and then a loud storm. Tristan was ANGERY.
Innocent looking, precious little Tristan.
I wasn't expecting a complete set of the mischief that has been absent, within just a day of his vet exam and first dose of NSAIDs. I kind of thought he might ease back into it, you know, a theft here, a deer chase at midnight there, wandering off to sniff and being too enthralled to hear his name another time. Requiring Outside Time every half hour all evening to hunt crickets.
But really, what was I expecting from the Melodrama Puppy? Always gotta do everything at 110%. It's good to see you feeling better, kid.
Why did Tristan's Fetch and Tug Buddy leave Tristan all alone? (with Guinevere's Royal Treasurer and Gwyn, they don't count) Tristan squishes his mohawk against the door to stuff his muzzle as far underneath as he can reach.
It's been ten whole seconds.
Tristan will never recover from the sadness.
Is he returning? He's coming back!
Melodrama Puppy leaning *entirely* into ear scritchies. Every emotion operates on the extreme outside of his skin, ecstasy through sorrow. No wonder his skin is sensitive. [No sound.]
Melodrama Puppy on full display: Sad Tristan Noises because Tristan's Fetch and Tug Buddy was talking to his computer, and Tristan was locked in the bedroom where he couldn't supervise.
I had some spare 4" foam and also our dog beds are about worn out. So I got some dog bed covers. I didn't measure or anything, I just sort of went "okay, I think the foam is about 44" wide, sure let's buy the 44"x36" bed covers."
Um.
That's somewhat large.
We have two 🤣
Well. Tristan seems to like it?
I don't know, I think Melodrama Puppy has more of a Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool kind of voice 😂 "MAXIMUM EFFORT!"
Sad Tristan would like you to believe that Gwyn got a cow hoof and Tristan did not. Tristan left his on the kitchen floor.
[Video Description: Tristan, a black and white cocker spaniel, sits by a wall. He licks his lips and tucks his chin, hoping that a better treat will appear.]
I did say that I don't think the skunk-hawk is working out at this length.
Melodrama puppy. So emo.
I still adore the (bad photography) photos from Tristan's emo phase.
Young Melodrama Man manages to inquire if it's time for dinner in the most compelling side-eye, without twitching a body muscle.
It's time! Are the humans ready? Tristan is ready!
