MY DOG ON A LOG: EXTREME EDITION

We start out with the classic: eyes on the camera, an easy standing jump up.

Then this lovely position in a tree... over a steep embankment with a metre and a half incline

The plant covered arrangement... where Freyja is not really sitting on the tree so much as the vine-like foliage.

The tree stump pose... that was maybe two metres off the ground, definitely over head-height for Mum, who's about 175cm tall.

And last but not least: the perched atop a fully-scaled completely-downed tree that was probably about 4 metres high and Mum struggled to reach your tail while sitting there

Bonus: Freyja climbing up the downed-tree (because I won't have ANYONE saying I helped her up, beyond some verbal encouragement)

VD: Charly, a yellow Labrador, laying on a black couch and facing the handler. She is offering her paw to the handler who then holds a set of nail clippers near her paw and makes a click sound before Charly gets the food that was dropped in front of her as a reward. End VD.

Charly really hates getting her nails trimmed, doesn't like to have her feet touched, doesn't like the dremmel sound, hates the sound the clippers make when they cut so

I've been working on clipper desensitization by clipping a piece of her kibble by her paw

It makes the same noise but this way it's a direct reward and I can even place the clippers directly on top of her nails and still get the same replicated sound without needing to actually clip her nails

About halfway through I also started asking her to give me her paw so we can start building up the steps for cooperative nail trims
