She must express her concern about seeing a leaf stuck in a spider web. It's a very serious situation and we must all acknowledge it.
@staff The update that has changed clicking the username on reblogs has broken functionality. It was useful functionality.
Clicking the username in the reblog chain used to take you to that user's reblog of that post. This allowed viewing the original tags, viewing the posts made just before that reblog (often important context is in a different post), allows us to "like" or reblog a particular version.
It also allowed us to view and click the existing tags on that post, to see other posts by the user on the subject, which is more effective than searching with mere guesses about how the user uses tags.
For example, before, if you clicked a post in which I had reblogged a picture of my dog Tristan, it would take you to my post. You could see it was tagged "#Tristan". You could click the "#Tristan" tag to see my other posts tagged "#Tristan" and view many photos and anecdotes about my dog Tristan.
Now, clicking that username in the reblog chain just takes you to the top of my blog. You can't see how I tagged my original reblog. You can't reblog just my version until you find the post somehow, which might be difficult. If you don't know my dog's name you have to look around to find his name. You have to search for "Tristan", which won't pull up just the posts tagged "#Tristan" but also any posts with the word Tristan in them, which might be a lot of unrelated junk. If I tagged the posts as "#Tristan the Dog" instead of "#Tristan" then search might not be able to find them.
The original functionality was excellent.
Is there any replacement for this functionality? I cannot find a way to simply click to a certain reblog any more. I can scroll through the list of reblogs, but in 20k note posts it might be impossible to find. Sometimes reblogs aren't even visible in the notes, if they have links for example, they're just not findable by scrolling through. It takes much more time.
And breaking the old function isn't even giving us something new? It was already easy to get directly to the top of someone's blog, by clicking their avatar image, by refreshing the page, by clicking their name in any comment they made on any post, so many ways to one-or-two click right to the top of their blog.
Thank you.
I laughed too hard at some silly video and Halley is like “are you okay??” 🥺
Ocala led me to this scene after I got out of the bathroom and I had to explain to her that Nugget is allowed to do whatever the hell he's doing here
Rules Dog foiled by a technicality
Gwyn continues to stick her nose into my mouth on a regular basis, and it does appear she's checking to see how I'm doing. When I am particularly stressed, for example, she ceases dancing around requesting playtime and settles herself.
She found dental work smells extremely perplexing and concerning, though.
Tristan is always right when he informs us (Sad Tristan Noises) that something is distressing him. I just wish he could tell us a little more clearly.
He's been making Sad Tristan Noises outside the guest room off and on for about a week. I let him in to look around, thinking maybe a spider or beetle went under the door. He'd go in, look around, and then trot to the kitchen for a carrot reward. Okay, guess it was a passing thing?
So yesterday we opened the latest box of dog food (kept in the guest room, of course) and the cans were dented so badly they were leaking. Oh. Oh eeeeeew. No wonder his nose was alerted.
Tristan is always right, it's just a matter of finding WHAT he's right about.
It's difficult to keep a bandage on a toe. But when it slips off, Tristan desperately wants to lick the injury. I won't let him, so he gives me the deeply concerned and personally wounded Spaniel Eyes. "You need halp! You must let me HALP."
Yvaine makes the best faces, but Tristan is learning.
