I love your kids' freckled noses!
Also, when I was a kid, we had Jammer, who was some form of Unspecified Spaniel and he's a bit of a center to the Venn Diagram that is your pups. I only have one picture of him on my phone, but he looked more like Gwyn but he was Tristan's colors (he looks black and gray but that's just the bad quality of the photo. He was black and white with little black spots in the white area, which i think is called ticking). He was a very good boy, and his name ended up being a prophecy lol. My mom named him when he got him from the pound (it was originally Scout) and he ended up being extremely fond of laying horizontally across the hallways (like nose to one wall, butt to the other) and as you can see, the house had black and white tile that was over the entire house except the bedrooms, with the halls having black diamonds down the middle, so he blended in, especially in the dark. So he was very much a Jammer of Hallways.
Jammies would have passed 10 or 11 years ago now, and I miss my oreo boy every day. He was actually terrified of cameras, which is why I have so few photos. Luckily, he was very used to seeing us playing with handheld games, and I got a Nintendo DSi not long before he passed, which had a camera function that he wasn't scared of, though the quality isn't great)
I'd love to have another Span one day (and another Lab, as my other childhood dog was a yellow lab named Riley, who passed in 2020) though due to my living situation, that's not viable. So I'm living vicariously through all of you dogblrs out there lol. Sorry if this is a bit rambling, I ended up making myself cry
Anyway, please give your Spans my love.
Love given on your behalf, and thank you for telling me about Jammer. He sounds like he was a wonderful mischief maker, even while snoozing 💖💖💖
