Nine years ago tomorrow, I drove up to Vermont to pick up a puppy that made all of my dreams come true.
Fast-forward to now, and tomorrow I'm bringing home a puppy whose litter was dedicated to my best boy, even after his too-soon departure from this world.
Born just hours after @themiscyradobermans spotted a rainbow on her way home, on the night of a full moon, to a perfectly balanced-sex litter. From one of the smallest males at birth, to one of the largest at final evals. Amaya picked him for me at the moment of his birth, but we held off to say it for sure until the litter was evaluated and temperament tested.
Introducing Themiscyra's Wolfkissed, also known as "Fenris", as the devourer of worlds but mostly decoys. Purple collar boy from the very beginning. Possibly my best kept secret, considering I didn't breathe a word here until we knew it would be him for sure.
A lot of love and care went into getting us here. His sire is owned by the same woman who owned Creed's sire. Amaya and I met each other through Nadia- Fenris' grandmother- and Creed, and Amaya was mentored by Creed's breeder. Amaya's program is exactly what I have been pushing for in the breed, and even outside of breeding politics I feel extremely and incredibly blessed to call Amaya and her girlfriend Sara my friends.
Fenris is a combination of North American show lines (US and Canada), South American lines, and European working lines. He will be kept fully natural at my request, and next week hopefully we will be headed to mondio to see what the club thinks of him.
