The DOOM Spaniels

We have this pop-top treat box on the cabinet by the front door. Several days ago Tristan climbed over from behind the cabinet and cleaned out the box, which fortunately didn't have much in it. Tristan's Fetch and Tug Buddy apologized for leaving the lid off.

But then yesterday I saw Tristan climb around the back of the cabinet again, reach over and confidently smack the pop-top, then start trying to pry the top off once he popped the seal. I think Tristan's Fetch and Tug Buddy may have taken responsibility for an accident that was very intentionally caused by someone else...

You know, I had not really considered the potential for hilarity in giving a handsy dog a bottle toy.

Gwyn is very handsy with all the food puzzles. Enthusiasm! Delight!

Tristan meanwhile is adorable in a way I can't quite photograph, tidily & skillfully dribbling the treat balls like the soccer ball that he resembles.

Gwyn eats too fast. I know it's a problem, I do things like spoon out her canned food in tiny chunks, try to give her tiny bites of everything.

What confuses me is that she gets the hiccups after eating half a cup of kibble from a food puzzle. Not the canned food, not gobbling a lot of food in several breaths, but the food puzzles. The heck?
