currently regretting checking the essay topic on chatgtp because i am correction the said essais and i now see where the shit introductions full of shortcuts is coming from.
also not chatgpt telling me to ask more questions if i need help with my essay........... i DONT !!! you are enabling my students to screw up their essais you piece of stupid technology
it is the first time ever a student has called me "mademoiselle" in an email so i can officially say that it makes me feel offended !!!!!
my students had two weeks to turn in a paper and the day of the deadline they be like "sorry i tripped and fell two days ago so i couldn't work on my essay"
and i am like what about the twelve other days you had to write it ?????
students really know how to make you feel bad don't they ???
this one student just replied to an email i sent them with feedback on their work, saying "you are right, my work is really bad, i will do it all over again" and how all the corrections they already did was just wasted time and whatnot.
except i never said their work was bad in the first place!! i pointed out a problem that wouldn't have been made if said student had just kept in mind the topic of the course. and somehow, i end up as the mean teacher, overthinking if i am nice enough when giving feedback to students.
so, next year i’ll teach to students in their fourth year of uni, meaning i will have some of the students that i had in my class this year. and that will be very cool to see them progress and all that stuff BUT i am SO nervous because they all said super nice things to me at the end of the year and i don’t want to disappoint them next year !!!
I am so grateful for the current prof I work with. I am not able to be on campus next week, which is the week we have to return the graded exam papers, so she just took the whole stack of exam papers to grade herself without me asking or anything. A lot of profs here don’t even grade a single exam so I will miss not working with her next year!!
I am monitoring an exam today and couldn’t remember when it started. So it’s 9:30 am, I open my mailbox to check and I see the last mail from the prof : “I’ll see you at 9 for the exam :)”.
I never freaked out more (like, tears in my eyes and wanting to yell kind of freaking out). So I check the location of the exam to RUN there, half an hour late. And what do I see ? The exam starts at 2 pm.
I hope the prof got the hour wrong and waited all alone in the exam room like an idiot for making me panic like that.
