I am so very, very tired, but bracing myself for the next four years. Looking to get some gloves with metal knuckles because brass knuckles are illegal in Texas, home of unregulated guns, and that's probably different enough to not get caught by that law.

Monday has the potential to be SUCH a clusterfuck, I'm so fucking stressed.

We got a notice from our apartment complex that they were going to shut off our electricity on Monday unless we get a different electricity provider (besides them). So that night I get online and scramble through a list of providers and signed up with one and got an automated email saying yep, I totally signed up with them. But then I didn't hear anything from them specifically about hooking it up or anything, so I checked with the apartment office and they haven't heard anything about it. And I'm just like, they told us this on THURSDAY. THURSDAY they told us we needed to switch by MONDAY. WHO IN THE ACTUAL FUCK DO THEY THINK IS GOING TO HOOK UP OUR ELECTRICITY OVER THE WEEKEND? LIKE SERIOUSLY, HOW IS THAT AN ACTUAL THING THEY LEGITIMATELY EXPECT TO BE POSSIBLE?

So now I have to contact both the provider and the office to make sure we're going to continue to have electricity or if I need to get a fucking bag of ice to keep our fridge stuff from spoiling.

GOD I am so fucking tired of shit piling on like this. I HAVE ASSIGNMENTS DUE THIS WEEK, GODDAMMIT. CAN I STICK TO JUST STRESSING OUT ABOUT THEM INSTEAD OF HAVING TO PULL CONTINGENCY PLANS AND HAIL-MARY PLAYS OUT OF MY ASS EVERY OTHER DAY???

Probably the same way they just suddenly decided to cut my pay by about sixty-five cents an hour, rather than increasing it like my union rep seems to think they should have done. That may not seem like much, but I work full time, so that works out to about twenty-five dollars a week, a hundred dollars a month. As of my last paycheck, they've shorted me almost four hundred dollars since I started at this new store.

So! In response, I am job hunting. Because it's been almost six YEARS of this shit. Six years of being shit on and degraded and threatened and told I'm not working hard enough even when I'm working through my breaks. Six years of working through a multitude of illnesses, being ignored when I say I need to take my break because my blood sugar's dropping, being accused of theft, not being BELIEVED when I have to write down that I'm sick because I CAN'T FUCKING TALK, going BLIND at the register, going DEAF at the register, working while MUTE, PASSING OUT AT MY GODDAMN FUCKING REGISTER. SIX YEARS OF THAT. SIX FUCKING YEARS OF MY LIFE PISSED AWAY BY KROGER. AND NOW THEY WON'T EVEN FUCKING PAY FOR ONE MEASLY EYE EXAM AND GLASSES! I HAVEN'T USED MY VISION INSURANCE IN YEARS, THEY CAN'T EVEN CLAIM I'VE USED IT ALL UP, IT'S JUST BEEN CANCELLED.

So...yeah. I'm a little upset. About Kroger. In general. A grievance has been filed on my behalf regarding the pay, we'll see if anything comes of it. Inquiries have been made regarding the insurance, we'll see if anything comes of THAT. In the mean time, fuck this shit, I'm looking elsewhere for employment.
