If DBDA had long seasons (and more seasons) there definitely would have been an episode where the boys had holed themselves up in the office, unreachable to the outside world while having a VERY over-intense board game night. During that timespan something COMPLETELY world-destroying would happen and Crystal and Niko would be forced to embark on a journey to save the world alone.

The girls' comedy of errors as they tried to stop a high-level supernatural threat of mass destruction with minimal knowledge and 0 resources is the A-plot. Edwin and Charles would have solved this in minutes but Crystal is cursing out a giant magical bee that Niko has painted pink.

The B- plot is the case of whether or not Charles actually cheated at Uno.

Bonus points if a detonator, trailed by a screaming Crystal and Niko, flies right past their office window just as an irritated Edwin closes it while scolding Charles for stacking the Sorry pawns on top of each other

It's a cliché that every Latin American leftist has read it and quotes it, but that's because it's written in such a clear language with undeniable strenght on its facts. It presents the history of Latin America solidly just in the first few pages, and it only gets more engrossing the more it goes on. While it is now a bit outdated in the sense that it was first published in 1971, the historical, social and political issues presented are -in an unfortunate way- still current. It is a relatively short book, passionate and in a clear, poetic language.

Sometimes it's good to return to the basics, and this is THE basic book if you want to understand the effects of imperialism in Latin America, and our struggle for freedom and identity.

"Guy" and "man" have different connotations with adjectival nouns. Like "tree guy" = arborist but "tree man" = he lives in a tree, or maybe he is a tree.

"I know a guy" = "I have a useful contact."

"I know a man" = "I am about to tell you a story."
