Crosby, who would come to the bench after each 10-minute period and share strategy with his teammates, got some help offensively from a former Pens player who was also a late addition to the lineup. Colby Armstrong chipped in at forward and scored a goal.
Terry Kalna, the Penguins’ new senior vice president of sales and service, had been talking recently with Armstrong, who’s in town for a few days. When Kalna mentioned that Crosby would be in net Tuesday night, Armstrong wanted to come as a surprise.
Crosby was happy to reconnect – and the two of them gave the Pens’ office staff an experience they’ll never forget.

I think he has a moat around his house with a dragon guarding the front gate. The guy is a legend. He’s the only guy in the world with a dragon. I think Tim Hortons hired a dragon to guard him.

As for Crosby’s habits on the road, Colby Armstrong Said his roomie likes to stretch a lot, usually goes to bed early—and talks in his sleep. ‘He does that quite a bit, talks about hockey,’ Armstrong said. ‘The odd time he’ll spit something out, and I don’t even know what the heck it means. I try to keep it going, talking to him, but he doesn’t wake up.’
