"They kept flashing the score on the board, and we knew they were in overtime. As soon as the crowd erupted like that, we knew they weren’t getting fired up for a Chone Figgins at-bat with me standing on first base. We know what’s going on. We’re very aware of the Kings and proud of them for what they’ve accomplished, and hopefully we can do something similar to that here in a couple of months.

#this is stupid#I was saying I didn't want it to be a sweep and I wanted there to be more hockey#and I wanted the Kings to be able to try and win it at home#but I'm still all depressed and flat after that loss#I'm being ridiculous#I know it#I can't help it#sighhhhhh#Los Angeles Kings#2014 SCF#New York Rangers#Kings vs Rangers#at least it stayed 2-1#I can't believe we outshot them 41-19 and put two pucks partway across the goal-line and still couldn't capitalize though#more depressed sighing#it makes me happy that the Kings were still on point and playing for it like madmen though
