I love how in most of star trek the cmo does not belong on the bridge yet they will be there and they will have invented a reason for them to be there. ds9 is just straight up like "julian is a gossip who gets bored easily. he is here to talk to dax about kira's love life. he is here because the infirmary is dull. he likes hanging out with his friends." honestly a great call. brilliant characterisation.

I will be the first to say that Riker haters are so valid but when it comes to me. I LOVE the Troi-Riker relationship. Every moment between them is like, I love you more deeply and passionately than anyone I have ever known or loved before and I want you to leave me alone about it. I'm excited when you get laid. People ask me for permission to date you. Every day we sit on either side of the capital-C Captain and we pretend that we are complete, confident professionals, and have never had our faces in each other's genitals.
