Please remember that the cast is still contractually obligated to support the show, D&D and the last season specifically. They can’t come out and say ‘oh yeah it was really stupid and doesn’t make sense’ even if that’s what they think. They can’t talk about what they don’t like because that would effect sales.

A lot of the cast hasn’t commented on the season, positively or negatively, or avoided going to panels and interviews so they don’t have to answer any questions. Some have said things like ‘character development? Nah!’ (Joe) or ‘disappointing’ (Kit), ‘best season EvAh’ (Emilia) and many more.

But comic con is different, especially since they had a closed panel (no fan questions allowed). It means they were definitely prepped in their answers and all their answers have been greenlit. It’s also clear that many of the cast didn’t want to do this which is why the panel is so small in comparison to other years.

As for what Maisie said (“Arya always has been a lone wolf, she won’t be with a partner”), we’ve all seen her (and Joe’s) past interviews over the years, at redcarpets and unscripted interviews. We know they both ship and support gendrya. We also know that Arya has and always will be about pack, family.

Take everything said in the panels with a chunk of salt because it’s all scripted. But most importantly, don’t attack the actors over what they’re told to say.

Update: three of my friends were at comic con and the GoT panel and all of them said that the cast seemed like they were answering too quickly and their answers were polished and unauthentic.
