Birthday gift for @flakatita who is my partner in crime with these toxic Golden Hollywood DonMick shenanigans! Here's your birthday gift!
You stood there, bruised from a war that had taken a part of your soul. You looked exhausted and beaten, not quite the man you were once when I first met you, a tourist at the Copacabana sidewalk.
And yet, fuck it, you looked like the most gorgeous thing in my eyes at that moment. Tell me, which saint gave you the right to stand there so beautifully? Why would God bless a liar like me with a man whose words bled sincerity?
"Joe." You say with a smile.
Say less, querido. Come into my arms.
Day 1: Reunion
10 minutes into Film Reels and Chill and suddenly he gives you this look...
@stoopakoopa commissioned me to draw my human versions of Scrooge McDuck and Flintheart Glomgold. And here they are!
Just a little kiss between co-stars.
They had an argument, your honor. It was only reasonable that it ended this way.
It's just a three feet mirror, but in those three feet we are free. Oh to be gay at the dawn of the 1940s while enduring the harsh working conditions of Golden Age Hollywood.
Just did a Humanized Duck Avenger sketch concept so I can draw him consistently.
"I wouldn't trust him any farther than I could throw him." Donald as Anna and Jose Carioca dancing. This man is going to ruin her whole career.
A pin-up of Human Donald Duck based on one of Gil Elvgren's works. I have always been an absolute fan of those painted pin-up art pieces in the 40s and 50s so why not do it on Donald? I'll probably work on more of these.
A redraw of the The Happy Accidents of the Swing by Jean-Honoré Fragonard starring the human version of The Big Three: Donald, Mickey and Goofy. This took me too long to finish but it came out alright.
The Big Three Donald, Mickey and Goofy It was about time I drew the other two. So I redrew an image of the three together.
A loose redraw of this panel:
This particular segment in Magnificent 7 (Minus 4) Caballeros by Don Rosa really hits hard for me given how distressed Huey, Dewey and Louie are. Imagine being a bunch of kids and seeing your main provider and protector fall like that. That's distressing as hell.
Each man is for himself. It's not everyday you see an A-Class Gringo.
Doing some practice sketches and color play with Donald and the boys, Huey, Dewey and Louie. Donald getting sabotaged by the boys similar to what they did in DT17.
It's 1942 and you've been sent by the US to Latin America as their representative for the good neighbor program, suddenly the man who volunteered himself as your guide in Brazil whispers to your ear, "I know you're a man but I can treat you like a lady." Also, you're no longer straight.
Cavalheiro! Aqui está meu cartão!
