A collection of all my screencapped Favorite Donald Moments from my deep-dive into the works of Don Rosa. Cute Uncle. Sassy assistant. Nerves of steel under fire.
Honestly, what I LOVE is that Donalds personal chemistry varies in extreme but dependable ways depending on who he’s with. With Micky and Goofy, he’s THE firecracker- hair trigger temper, perfect for slapstick. With his nephews theres some of that, but he’s also the goofball authority figure. With the Three Caballeros, he’s their Goofy High Energy friend who’s delighted to be there.
(seriously, for a The South America Movies nut like me, the Three Caballeros issue is an absolute treat.)
And with Scrooge, Donald’s temper is outclassed. Scrooge has fire and hubris to spare. And as a result, around his Uncle, Donald is… surprisingly, incredibly level-headed, and spitting back sass and comebacks to spare.
One wonders where he gets it in this family… Gran'ma Duck, you s’pose?

Insert a plot line where Scrooge takes advantage of Trip's abilities in the horse track and they all get into huge trouble. Trouble with who? Glomgold and his goons, of course. Or worse, two angry dads.
