While individual fossil feathers have been found in amber, this is the first fossil that shows feathers still attached to a dinosaur’s body.
This specimen teaches us virtually nothing we don't already know, but that doesn't mean it isn't awesome. An amazingly intimate look at an animal from 100 million years ago. Hopefully next time we'll get a preserved head!

Fossil Friday Gomphotherium. It had four tusks; two on the upper jaw and two on the elongated lower jaw.
