I have a hot take and truth that I don’t think a lot of you are gonna like

You gotta fucking start idolizing the cold and snow and winter more.

I fucking mean it- so many times I bring up climate change to people they sigh and go “I know but it’s so nice that it’s warmer out.” which is fucking frightening. Stop doing that! With responses like this I’m not fucking surprised that so many people don’t give a shit about the fact that we’re constantly hitting the warmest months on record. If you bring it up to some people they’ll just shrug like “good riddance. I love the warmth and I hate the cold anyway.”

Sometimes I wonder if more people taught themselves to love the cold and snow or at least appreciate it, then more people would care!

I’m going to ask you to challenge your snow and cold hating rhetoric. Find reasons to love it! Even if it’s just snuggling up under a pile of warm blankets and getting cozy!

LEARN TO LOVE THE WINTER AND SPEAK UP FOR IT.

Reblog this btw.

I'm sure this has already been scrubbed by disney's lawyers but you should know that this is not the only case of this happening recently and disney is not the only studio who is guilty of it. despite all of the progress made over the last decade or so by endlessly brave people working in animation, the current state of US politics is causing a tangible backlash in what is being made and what is being aired.

Read it once in your life, and never regret it. ✋✅

Do you feel bored of the posts asking for help from Gaza? You’re right, but imagine our situation as we live this war day after day for 13 months. Do you think we’re tired too?!!
Asking for help is not easy; it’s very embarrassing, especially for a family that used to live a decent life. My husband and I completed our university education with distinction, worked in respectable jobs, and were used to helping others, not asking for help. But the war has turned our lives into a nightmare; we lost our home, our sources of income, and even our ability to provide the simplest of needs.
I'm Hanan. For the past 13 months, we have been struggling to get healthy food and medicine for my child, whose weak body was attacked by infection, and for my elderly mother-in-law, who fell into a coma for several days and almost lost her life due to anemia caused by our inability to provide healthy food, as prices have risen more than 10 times. Now, we have run out of everything. While you are reading my message, my family and I are trying to survive amidst all kinds of suffering.
What was once a beautiful dream and reality has now become a nightmare. Starvation is one thing, but starving, freezing, and being forced to flee in the middle of the night when tanks suddenly arrive in your area, running for your life and your family’s life under fire, leaving behind everything you built over the years, and returning after 5 months of suffering in displacement and tents to find that your home, where you lived your happiest moments, is nothing but rubble, is something completely different! 💔😓
Can you feel my broken heart now? Can you imagine what I’m going through at this moment? Everything I am living now cannot be described with words, and every moment here is filled with pain and fear. We desperately need your help, as we live in hope of escaping Gaza to save our lives and live safely away from the explosions.
You might feel powerless to stop this genocide, but you can certainly save my family. We appeal to your compassionate hearts to help us escape this catastrophe, which the human mind cannot even fathom.
Please share our campaign with your family and friends. This will help us reach those who can help us directly. Be the reason to bring hope back to our hearts ♥️✨

i do, have this mostly fem!laios au (but it's also fem!labru) that i've been cooking with @dimdiamond for about a year now? mostly on discord

and it's basically "what if laios is a single mother in her 30s and falin is her daughter, not sibling?"

um okay, i'm gonna ramble for a bit LOL

but it's p much a "everything is the same except (thing)" type of au, and it is based off the genderbent comic. i've been calling her "miss laios" and it's just the miss laios au lol

so miss laios was a young teen mother (not by choice tho, i kinda gave her a sad backstory bc in this au, she was an only child so no friends and no siblings and wasn't the son her parents wanted) and her baby is falin. she runs away from her home village with baby falin and p much struggled raising falin. all they had was each other but when falin's magic powers arised, miss laios made the tough decision to send her away to the magical academy, but much later, falin still runs away from the academy to be with miss laios bc miss laios was not doing good physically and mentally (paying for a fancy magic school is hard)

they still go to the island together and become adventurers, and miss laios is still a big monster fanatic in this au. her personality is p much same, only she's more worldly experienced and a bit more cynical (marcille tried bonding with her once by mentioning her romance novels and miss laios brushes it away bc she doesn't read "unrealistic things" like that) she also still has her monster manual.

falin still gets eaten by the red dragon and miss laios, marcille, chilchuck and later senshi, travel to save her. the stakes are more higher in this au bc it's a mother trying to save her daughter.

kabru comes into play later, like in canon, where she hears about the famous mother and daughter duo with their team and really wants to get to know about them more (and totally not because she finds miss laios so fascinating lol)

a lot of dynamics are different too, like chilchuck and miss laios are closer friends in this au because chilchuck understands as a teen parent what miss laios went through. marcille still had a rough beginning with miss laios like in canon, assuming miss laios took falin away by force, but now at first was trying to make up for it by kinda kissing up to her? (marcille's mortified she treated the mother of her best friend so terribly and her urge to the best takes over lol) but they become much closer bc marcille is one of miss laios's first friends. miss laios isn't as obsessive over shuro like in canon, but is still under the false assumption that they're best friends just bc shuro is so polite to her (meanwhile, it's just shuro being awkward and even more so bc he basically asked for miss laios's daughter's hand in marriage behind her back)

UM. there's more but that's basically the gist of it LOL

please reblog the fundraisers you see on your dash. please. if you claim to care about palestine, NOW is the time to prove it. everyone said gaza will be worse off if trump wins - well, now he has. the least anyone can do now is reblog and share and DONATE to as many fundraisers as possible. especially if you're american. you want harm reduction? this is harm reduction. help gazan families.

you can't decide where to start?

pick a name. any name. read their story. realize that what you feel now, they feel everyday, a thousandfold. donate whatever you can. at the very least, reblog if you can't.

there is no excuse not to.

kabru having major cute aggression over laios makes sense to me. he doesn't know how to express it so his thoughts first goes to "SQUEEZE HIM UNTIL HIS EYES POP."

people do mistake it as kabru wanting to beat laios up and it's like "no, that's when he annoys me. this is different."
