not to be That Person but nonbinary people shouldn’t have to have a complex knowledge of the history of gender in every culture and scientific studies on gender vs biological sex and a history of all the neopronouns ever made and then be able to explain all of these to people we’re meeting for the first time ever in order to be respected and not misgendered. nonbinary people should be able to just go up to someone and give their pronouns and gender and have no one question it. we should not have to be scholars in a wide array of subjects and then have to articulate this to strangers in order to be taken seriously. thank you and have a nice day.

Oh he’s QUEER

What is it about him that I find attractive? The see-through shirt? The chaotic energy, like a trickster spirit let loose in a kitchen? The sense of humour? The child-like sense of wonder? The way he looks so comfortable inhabiting himself and being himself? The cooking? The humility of admitting that something tastes good when he was expecting a disaster? The...

His live streams are wonderful. Love when someone asks if he supports lgbtq cuz his response is always along the line of 'Oh honey, I am very gay' or 'I am what I like to call limp wristed'

god i fucking love him more than anything he makes me so happy every time i fucking see his tiktoks my serotonin levels skyrocket my queer cooking history nerd icon who is very unhinged and has a style i would like to adopt

i'm gonna say it again

man =/= masculine

woman =/= feminine

nonbinary =/= androgynous

man =/= he/him

woman =/= she/her

nonbinary =/= they/them or neopronouns

a guy can be feminine!! yes including if they're trans!!

a girl can be masculine!! yes including if they're trans!!

nonbinary people do not owe you androgyny!!

and everyone can use whatever pronouns they want!! and don't automatically assume someone's gender from their pronouns!! if someone uses he/him, that doesn't mean he's automatically a guy, and that ALSO doesn't mean that he needs to be masculine!! that just means that that particular person feels more comfortable with he/him pronouns!!

in this month of pride, it's important to remember that gender identity and expression can be similar or the same but are often not!! i am a genderfluid trans guy (yes i will explain what that means to me if you ask), i use he/him, and i love making and wearing dresses and skirts!! i love wearing heels!! i love having boobs and i don't plan on medically transitioning really ever!! i am still a trans guy and i still use he/him!!

it's okay to experiment with gender identity and expression, it's okay if you have questions about it or are confused about something, but nothing will ever give you an excuse to disrespect someone and their gender. absolutely nothing. i don't care how "cringey" they are, or how convoluted their identity is. i don't care if they made up a gender for themself, i don't care if they use every set of neopronouns out there or emoji pronouns or what their name is, i don't care if you perceive them as bad. nothing ever gives you an excuse to be an asshole. you don't need to fully understand something to respect it. i don't understand half of what astrophysicists do but that doesn't mean i get to demean them or their work??

tl;dr: gender identity and expression are different things, people can use any pronouns and it doesn't immediately and automatically reflect their gender, people can present in any way they want even if it doesn't line up with their gender, and their gender identity is still valid!!

y’know what. i think we need to start validating every single expression of bisexuality. i mean it. if a bi girl claims she has no preference but mainly talks about guys, she’s still bisexual. if a bi guy has only dated men, he’s still bisexual. if someone has a preference, they’re absolutely just as bisexual. also, having no gender preference is absolutely, 100% an expression of bisexuality. when it comes down to it, there is no way to define bisexuality through an individual’s experience. if they are bisexual they are bisexual, no matter how others may see it.
