Sticker Giveaway

I like stickers. They are often colorful and fun. I tend to hold on to them when I come across one that I like. The thing is: stickers are meant to be, you know, stuck to things. The problem is that I have Flerm Disorder (ADHD) and I simply Cannot deal with the opportunity cost of putting a sticker on something.

So here's the deal. You want a sticker? Let me tell you how to get a sticker through the

Posted every year for the last NINE YEARS, here AGAIN, is Margaret

I am a FIRM believer that if you give out Halloween candy you must either give out full size or interesting. Dassit. No other options.

(This year I went with interesting and got a bunch of Japanese KitKats in various flavors including ice cream, roasted chestnut, sweet potato, and lemon salt. The kids were hype.)

I’ve trained my dogs to expect their dental treats when I offer them “the body of Christ”. Is this heresy or blasphemy?

A rare occasion where it's both! Animals can't receive communion/experience the sacraments because they have no souls. Additionally, I am going to safely assume you aren't a priest, so you aren't allowed to perform transubstantiation. Additionally, the Eucharist cannot be made of dental treats. Finally this whole thing is making a huge mockery of one of the single most sacred acts in Catholicism. Well done!

in the midst of my mind running around, i find myself with not one but four RPGs ideas, all of them opposite of each other, or better put, i dont want to mix them.

  • the classical fantastical medieval RPG that i posted about before
  • a way of structuring politics to make a attorney RPG like Suits, but i dont even know what set of dice to use to make a roll
  • an idea of making your city the center of the adventure, using regions and interest points of where you live, my idea is Percy Jackson, but fantastical politically focused games might also work
  • and a system to simulate election and political campaigns in the modern age, at least from where i live

i dont like to mix these ideas, but i also dont want to work on any of them while i dont work on the others, so i dont do anything, and also, they have conflicting visions, one thing that i want in one would go against the other

so i just did nothing, while wondering if rolling a 3 dice pool, fate dices, 2d6 like PbtA, d10 pools or whatever would be the best system for any idea

i will try to develop my ideas on different posts and see if any one wants me to make it, otherwise, leave your vote on this pool so maybe i focus on the most voted

this was more me venting my frustration but vote and share it so it can reach more people

Something that I'd love to add into games set in modern settings is political aspects. It would be great to track the flow of local elections with some sort of system so that I could go, "Hey, because of this thing you did, you inadvertently caused this election to go haywire" or just have it as a background that can influence aspects of the story going forward.

Even better would be for stuff like Vampire: the Masquerade/the Requiem. WOuld love to have a metric of the politics there that isn't just sTaTuS qUo.

I've seen several cases where people are like "what happens if we meet aliens, and then they see Independence Day or War of the Worlds?"

But nobody seems to think about what happens when the aliens see Star Trek.

The aliens are gonna see these shows made by a bunch of humans but they put putty on some of the humans to make them look like what we think aliens might look like, and we told stories about how those aliens would be our friends and we'd explore the universe with them and find more aliens and try to be friends with them too!

Yeah sometimes they'd be mean and we'd fight but we'd always try to avoid it and even if we fought we'd try to be friends later.

We basically created 900 episodes of a child's drawing of a stick figure of a human and a stick figure of a grey alien holding hands and "best friends" written in crayon.

I’m currently in an 80-person musical where the vast majority of the cast are children so last night we had an “invited dress” before opening night where the kids brought their favorite toys to sit and be our first “audience.”

I will see if I can source a good photo from the cast. An entire auditorium populated with squishmallows and SpongeBob and Bluey and one adult’s Supernatural dolls in the front row.

Director: I’ll just sit here between Unicorn-Pug and this… um… Atari guy.

Sixty children: BEEMO! THATS BEEMO!

Some pictures!

Space opera characters love to go "real name, real name, fake name". It's a technique loved by TV writers like Gene Roddenberry, J. Michael Straczynski, and Zebarra of Proxima Centauri
