I’m craving some Nadja & Guillermo bonding in England next season.
ahh no nadja dont suck my blood haha
Equipment:
- 500ml glass jar shaped like a skull
- the only straw I own, which came with said skull
- saskatoon berry tea
Assumptions:
- biting someone to suck their blood is equivalent to drinking from a straw
- lukewarm saskatoon berry tea is equivalent to blood
- rate of drinking doesn't change over time
- a stomach can hold a whole person worth of blood
- the vampire is me ig
Results:
It took me 1 minutes and 11 seconds to drink 500ml of lukewarm tea. Acorrding to Wikipedia (and I don't want to research any harder than that) the average adult human has 5 litres of blood, and 40% (2 litres)is fatal. Assuming all my assumptions, this means that it would take approximately 11 minutes and 50 seconds for a vampire to drain someone, but the person would hypothetically die in 4 minutes 43 seconds. However there are some issues here. Firstly, blood is more viscous than tea, which may make it take longer to drink. Secondly, blood is under pressure in your bodies. Finally, it is not known if vampires would use their teeth like straws, or if they drink blood some other way. However, I do not believe these factors would be an issue, the first two may cancel out, and veins are basically the straws of the human body anyway.
In conclusion: you would have like 4 minutes to do something about it if you saw a human getting drank by a vampire unless they hit an artery or something by accident, and it would take nearly 12 minutes to drain someone dry. Also now I have to pee.
like a can of sardines
Nadja and Nadja Doll deserve a portrait of their own, methinks
my good lady wife 〜
it’s my account and im allowed to draw vampires
Also another reason I love wwdits is because they don’t just portray vampires as skinny white twinks and i think that’s just wonderful because that’s one of the made reasons I don’t really like vampires, there always the same twink with anger issues just with different hair lengths
PREACH
I love vampires in media in general but wwdits is just something else and I guess part of it comes from the fact their vampires feel so... real because hey all have an interesting and unique cultural and historical background. They come from all over the globe, have different looks, powers and personalities. And flaws too.
Thinking of it, I probably never got into stuff Twilight, the Vampire Diaries or The Vampire Academy because I personally couldn't find enough intetest in the archetype of the absolutely perfect-looking but internally damaged and thus perpetually brooding American teenage vampire.
We sort of have that kind of vampire in wwdits in the character of Nick but this is fine because he's arguably a representation/parody of the former and also functions as part of a group which overall is fairly diverse.
despite everything im so waiting for girlboss guillermo nadja energy next season 😳 + bonus
