Fair, but you have to consider the source: Library of Congress - an organization that makes it clear that it follows the dictates of the likes of "Not Going to Pay Child Support" Joe Walsh, Paul Ryan, Ron and Rand Paul. Of course they have to suck up to white men like that.

The Truth About GOP Hero Ayn Rand (by ThinkProgressVideo)

Ayn Rand is apparently out this year:

I reject her philosophy,” Ryan says firmly. “It’s an atheist philosophy. It reduces human interactions down to mere contracts and it is antithetical to my worldview. If somebody is going to try to paste a person’s view on epistemology to me, then give me Thomas Aquinas,” who believed that man needs divine help in the pursuit of knowledge. “Don’t give me Ayn Rand,” he says.

But they should have taken PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for making…

But hey, if we actually KNEW the farm with the melons and KNEW that these melons were dangerous, guess what, people would stop buying melons there.

Look at all this regulation we have and people still die.  Fact is, even if every single piece of food that we eat passes through a regulatory body, people are still going to die.

  1. You can't honestly say that government doesn't work when you refuse to adequately fund it's proper operation.

Why Ron Paul Supporters Lie about Paul supporting Labor

I swear, people come out with more absurd statements every day

People actually fall for this shit and line-up at the voting booth ready to elect someone based on bad information. How can someone really print such blatant horse shit?

I just don’t know.

  • He doesn’t believe in the separation of church and state.
  • He believes abortion should be illegal.
  • He doesn’t support the repeal of DoMA and didn’t support the repeal of DADT.
  • He doesn’t support putting more money into inner-city schools, but does support vouchers for religious schools.
  • He believes creationism should be taught alongside evolution in public schools.
  • While he doesn’t support a federal ban on gay marriage, he also doesn’t support a federal law legalizing gay marriage. Some see this as a states’ rights issue, and this is how he frames it, but he does support other federal legalization movements (drugs, for example).
  • His newsletter spouted horrible racist content for twenty years. He denies writing any of it, but if he allowed this content to go out under his name, he either approved it or was so ignorant of both the type of people he associates with and the type of content going under his name that he shouldn’t be trusted to run anything.
  • He believes in reinstating the gold standard, which most economists believe was one of the major causes of several financial crises during the early part of the 20th Century, including the Great Depression.
  • He believes in free market capitalism.
  • He wants to get rid of Affirmative Action.
  • He is a frequent guest on the Alex Jones radio show. Alex Jones is a government-hating conspiracy theorist nutter. If you don’t know who Alex Jones is, then Google him.
  • Any of these items should keep a sane liberal from voting for Ron Paul.
His stance on drugs and wars win him a lot of liberal fans, but only if they don’t look at literally anything else he stands for.

It appears that in Official Washington and inside the major U.S. news media the idea of learning from past presidents, including the Roosevelts and Dwight Eisenhower, is a non-starter. Instead there’s an unapologetic embrace of the theories of Ayn Rand and Milton Friedman, an affection that can pop out at unusual moments. Addressing a CNBC “Fast Money” panel last year, movie director Oliver Stone was taken aback when one CNBC talking head gushed how Stone’s “Wall Street” character Gordon Gecko had been an inspiration, known for his famous comment, “Greed is good.” A perplexed Stone responded that Gecko, who made money by breaking up companies and eliminating jobs, was meant to be a villain. However, the smug attitude of the CNBC stock picker represented a typical tribute to Ronald Reagan’s legacy. After all, greed did not simply evolve from some vague shift in societal attitudes, as the Post suggests. Rather, it was stimulated – and rewarded – by Reagan’s tax policies. Reagan’s continued popularity also makes it easier for today’s “no-tax-increase” crowd to demand only spending cuts as a route to reducing the federal debt, an ocean of red ink largely created by the tax cuts of Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. Tea Partiers, in demanding even more cuts in government help for average citizens and even more tax cuts for the rich, represent only the most deluded part of middle-class America. A recent poll of Americans rated Reagan the greatest U.S. president ever, further enshrining his anti-government message in the minds of many Americans, even those in the battered middle class.

To celebrate the significant 50th anniversary of the John Birch Society, the JBS chose Ron Paul to be their keynote speaker. You know, the same John Birch Society that accused President Eisenhower of being a communist. It's one of the oldest fringe nutjob organizations in America. The Koch Brothers are key funders of the JBS. Their father, Fred Koch was a founding Bircher. Beginning to make sense? From small mouths come small thoughts to reach small minds. LOTS of small minds, from which populist movements are made supporting bigotry and racism. Senator Sherrod Brown recently commented, "The John Birch Society has morphed into the Tea Party." We're seeing the synthesis of the JBS with the Tea Party and the Republican Party. It's the melting pot of hate and fear, stirred and seasoned to perfection by Big Money and served by the enablers of Citizens United. It's no wonder Ron Paul is the ONLY Congressman rated 100% on the John Birch Society's Conservative Index. He is a Bircher through and through. A Bircher in Libertarian clothing, vying for the Republican nomination for President of the United States. Chew on that one for awhile and then share it with everyone you know.

Alisa Rosenbaum (aka: Ayn Rand) - over-staying her visa - having vowed never to return to her country of origin - was now an illegal (criminal) commie atheist Rooskie fugitive immigrant loose in the God blessed real American breadbasket and headed for the promised heartland of southern California to pursue her shadowy alien dream of taking jobs away from real American screenwriters. Once in Jew controlled Hollywood she would sneak around taking day labor jobs from real Americans (and real-American illegal immigrants too) just to meet her sneaky Kerenskyite objectives.
