¨ANTEDILUVIAN¨ gifs
Antediluvian is a short animated film in commemorative homage to Classic Paleoart and the earliest Paleontologists. Exactly 200 years ago was the first dinosaur formally described.
Full short film now available at Youtube/MarioLanzas.

I absolutely loved this short film. I’m glad that vintage depictions of prehistoric life are still appreciated and treasured.💚💚💚

Pink Sky Whale
Plllsss!!! I need more paleoart like this masterpiece!
The more dinosaurs I study, the more favorite species or genera I have....
so far:
Sinosauropteryx prima (magnificent tail!! fluffye!!!)
Pachycephalosaurus wyomingensis (looks like a dragon!)
Tyrannosaurus rex (is misunderstood :( )
Oviraptor (is fluffye and misunderstood :( )
Gallimimus bullatus (esp bc the name is from Roman boys' apotropaic amulets, it's like a good luck dino!)
Kaiparowits Formation designed for the Paleo Parks series at Studio 252MYA. A pair of Parasaurolophus cyrtocristatus browse in a swamp towered over by conifers. Since I almost always put a shelly boy in my paleoart, a baeinid turtle sits on a log in the foreground. And there's an enantornithe up there, too... This is available to purchase at 252mya.com.
Dilophosaurus against a golden sky.

Countershading
Countershading is a method of camouflage in which an animal's coloration is darker on the upper side and lighter on the underside of the body. This creates an illusion of flatness when hit by sunlight above, confusing predators. Using various advanced techniques of pigment study in especially well-preserved fossils, paleontologists have been able to determine that dinosaurs exhibited this sort of coloration. This has been observed in Psittacosaurus, Borealopelta, and Sinosauropteryx.
A drawing I did a couple of months with some alts. This is based of of a real specimen that I love so so much. Styracosaurus my beloved <3
