Warning: video is shaky and I drop it in dessert at least once. The shakiness DOES straighten out after a few seconds, the lighting does not.

The quality of this recording is so poor, the equipment I’d used then has long become obsolete. While it could hardly be of use to anyone, I am releasing this curio in celebration of Undrafted, filmed in the same year as this clip, finally seeing the light.

To celebrate Aaron’s birthday, I created a medley track with pieces of songs performed by him through his career. I edited them in chronological order as follows: Without Love from Hairspray (2006-2007), Who Could Have Dreamed of You? from The Three Musketeers (2007), Dancing Through Life from Wicked (2008-2009), There’s a World from Next to Normal (2009-2010), One Song Glory from Rent (2010), Live in Living Color from Catch Me If You Can (2011), Red and Black from Les Misérables (2012), If I Loved You, originally from Carousel, performed in 54 Below and included in The Radio in My Head (2013). I tried to optimize the quality as best as I could but some recordings weren’t as good as others. Well, enjoy! Happy birthday Aaron!
“I went to see Norbert Leo Butz when he performed here, and he did a song from The Last Five Years, so of course I’m going to try to do it better than him now.” [x]

Oh I am a lonely painter I live in a box of paints I’m frightened by the devil And I’m drawn to those ones that ain’t afraid
I remember that time you told me you said “Love is touching souls” Surely you touched mine ‘Cause part of you pours out of me In these lines from time to time Oh, you’re in my blood like holy wine You taste so bitter and so sweet
Oh I could drink a case of you darling And I would still be on my feet I would still be on my feet
