DAI: screenarchery tutorial - advanced

Since I’ve posted the basic DAI screenarchery tutorial… and had a positive reactions….

would you be interested in another one? A more advanced one? Taking on the FOV and face lighting in the least favourite conditions? (read somehow challenging ones [dark/half lit place])

I would stick to Solas as our choice of persona or protagonist and maybe I would go for two different locations so you can see the differences/similarities from which you can learn.

Hmm?

I think one of the locations could be the rotunda. It is a challenging place to start with.. but what about the other one?

Any suggestions?

DAI Screenarchery tutorial (using DAI cinematic tools).

What you need: a working PC, Dragon Age Inquisition game, DAI cinematic tools (get it here), patience, and time.

I will write this tutorial from the point of view of a person who never used the DAI cinematic tools before. It will be easier than to assume you know ‘things’.  Also, take into account that this is ‘my’ technique for using it; if yours is different or more efficient please continue using it. The screenshots are taken in-game with the graphic settings maxed (ultra) so your screenshots may vary due the difference in hardware (I have a high-end gaming PC + my monitor is 2k).

NB. Please notice that in my regular screenshots I also use ENB and reshade, so the final results are completely different. However, in this tutorial it’s just the basic game settings.

Without further ado, let’s begin!

This is what we strive for:

DAI: screenarchery tutorial

OK. I have given it some thoughts and I decided to do it. I will make the most comprehensive DAI screenshot tutorial possible (from my own perspective).

But I need your opinion.

Which character should this be dedicated to?

There are definitely two types: fully focused (FF: which means there are more scenes and possibilities) or limited focused (LF: which means limited scene opportunities).

I’m willing to focus on:

FF: Cassandra, Bull, Solas, Cole, Dorian, Varric, Blackwall, Sera, Vivienne.

LF: Cullen, Leliana, Josephine, Krem.

The outcome: I’m going to pick up a scene/location and write the instruction on what/how to take best screenshots. (Bear in mind they will be the best from my own perspective and experience.)
