IDK about everyone else, but I’ve actually been certified as a doula and childbirth educator and worked in women’s health media for most of a decade. All points valid, but “Help me OB-GYN Kenobi” broke me.
And this is how you can tell a story was written by men because pre-natal healthcare never even occurred to the writer. Women’s insides are a mysterious and magical place that no man either can fathom, or just just not want to think about, so in stories like this they just handwave it away as” dying in childbirth”.

i honestly feel for the man and never considered him a bad guy. vader had hostages.
the idea that anyone might Blame Lando shocks me to my very core
Part of the problem is we never actually see civilians suffering, so the threat doesn’t seem real, similar to in episode 1 where we never see the negative impact of the planet being occupied. Also, imagine it from Lando’s POV. He’s settled down after a rebellious criminal period and become a responsible adult TM and gone into local politics. Then a guy from his past rosks up and is like “dude you have to hide me from the cops!”
