So I was wrong. Things are pretty shit right now.

We are desperate for groceries. My youngest who is autistic is an incredibly picky eater and he won't eat the lunch he gets at school for free so I have to pack for him. Yesterday I didn't pack him a lunch because I literally have nothing I could pack for him and he didn't eat at all the entire day. I'm at a loss with what to do. I've even gone to Reddit but the only interaction I've got from people is asking me to exchange nudes for cash and yeah no.

Our water got shut off but we were able to get it back on by paying with a check and the bank pushed it through. But now we're in the hole almost $600 and I don't get paid until next Friday and my checks are $693 because I'm contracted salary. We've sold everything we could (all of our old video games) except the kids' switch because I am not doing that to them.

We are still waiting on our snap benefits, we called and they said they've received our application but couldn't tell us anything else. My husband currently cannot work he's filing for unemployment and disability but most of us know how quickly that all goes. We've filed our taxes but won't get them for another week at least. I was going to start doordashing but our phone service is off so I can't do that because you need internet I thankfully have wifi at home.

If anyone can spare anything I'll literally be forever grateful, I'm still so thankful to those of you who have helped before.

Things are hopefully starting to look up?

We've applied for debt relief and they are taking over our loan payments and credit card payments. (I can't use my credit cards now though). A local relief place is supposed to be helping with our utility bills but they said they can't pay our water bill for some reason and they can only partially pay on our electric bill which is up to $1,300 now.

Our water is due to be shut off any day now unless we pay 120 on it. My car is still up for reposession so that's super great. My main worry right now though is groceries, we have barely anything left in the bank because we had to pay to put stop payments on our loans and it's about whiped us out.

I'm so incredibly grateful to those who have helped me in the past I'm really hoping this is the last time I have to ask for any help but I don't know what to do right now to get us through this week. I just want to be able to feed my kids.

Anything is appreciated and I really hope to be able to pay it forward in the near future.

The depression is real and heavy rn.

Finances are still super behind from being stuck in the hospital, having to use fmla having absolutely no sick time left. Car is up for reposession, electric is about to be disconnected. Have no idea how we're going to get groceries for next week. It's just really great y'all. Bank is negative, credit cards are over limit, my check this week won't even get us out of the red. Bank just keeps charging fees. Lol it's wonderful. The least it could do is snow so I have something pretty to look at while I sit here feeling like shit.

Like we've been in the shit before but not this badly. If anyone can and wants to chip in I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hey all, so I've been having issues with my jaw locking lately and made an appointment with an orthodontist. Now I know I need braces, I did the invisible aligners but my jaws jacked and I need braces to fix it.

The issue is I need $1,200.00 down the day they put them on. I don't have it, I was in the hospital for almost two weeks after my bowels were ruptured back at the end of June. Husband took time off work unpaid during that time so we're just trying to get bills caught up at this point. Not to mention school supplies we need to get soon as well.

Anyway! They have me scheduled to get them put on August 10th. I can reschedule if needed but im already off work that day so I'm trying to make it work. With blind faith in I don't even know what I started a gofundme 😬

At Vermont State University is a newly merging Uni in so-called North America, pushing together three previously separate universities: Castleton University, Northern Vermont University, and Vermont Technical College.

Just last week, the new VTSU administration sent out an email to faculty, staff and students announcing that all the libraries at each of the 5 campuses contained within these universities would be moving to an ‘all-digital’ model. Librarians will lose their jobs if this plan goes ahead; in fact, librarians were only informed of this change 11 minutes before the email was sent out.
