The library in the long gallery at Blickling Hall, Norfolk. It is a very rare and important collection, containing about 12,500 books and manuscripts dating from the 11th to the 19th century. One of its famous holdings is the Blickling Homilies, a very early example of English vernacular writing. It also contains the third atlas ever printed (from 1482) and very early Bibles and theological texts.
National Library of France Finally Complete After a 10-Year-Long Renovation
Formerly known as the Bibliotheque du Roi, the Richelieu site of the National Library of France near the Palais-Royal has finally completed construction after almost 10 years of renovations.
The transformation of the 300-year-old site included facade restorations, installation of an interior garden, and facilities maintenances, promoting innovation, modernity, and openness to a wider public.
The project, which is both a library and a museum, will continue to house a massive campus for the history of the arts and heritage, and provide visitors with a place for walking, discovery, and exchange. The site is expected to be open to the public in summer of 2022.

Maria Passer/Anadolu Agency/ - Vorkuta, Komi Republic, Russia - An inside view from snow and ice covered abandoned building in Severny region in Komi Republic. I have never heard of anything like this, but Inna & Mikhail’s dream was to have a 2nd home that looked like a luxury hotel. They found a small apt. in Stockholm where their son lives, and hired a designer to make their dream come true.
When the couple visits Stockholm, they do not want to stay in a hotel, but they have borrowed part of the hotel concept for their small apartment. This tiny antique table is enough for tea for two.
Walls, ceilings and moldings were painted the one color. They wanted the same color as the one they’d seen in another apartment: A dark gray, with blue shades - like a dark night sky.
As for the rest, they wanted it simple, classic and elegant.
Jewelry and other small items collected on a silver tray.
Mikhail is a chef but here here, they didn’t want a complicated kitchen that called for cooking. It was enough with a refrigerator for cheese, cold cut platters and a kitchen counter that holds the wine cooler.
Open storage certainly requires a bit of order, but the shelves will be a wonderful work of art with their most beautiful and refined kitchen accessories.
They also thought that the legendary love couple Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg, in the photo from Yellow Korner, would probably enjoy this sensual kitchenette.
The wall lamp sometimes acts as a clothes hanger in the small apartment.
