Summary: Stephen Strange is a world-renowned neurosurgeon just living his life, saving lives and gaining accolades and trying to keep himself from falling into bed – again – with Christine in between attempts at relationships. He doesn’t like surprises or trouble and is deathly allergic to anything that may jeopardise his career, so he’s certainly not the type of Alpha to ruffle important feathers regarding issues he can’t explicitly control.

And then he comes home after a long ten-hour shift and there’s an intruder in his penthouse, inhaling Stephen’s coffee and decimating his electronics to build…something, battered and skittish and yet looking for revenge.

This fic is heavily inspired by the worldbuilding in the Johnlock fic The Gilded Cage by @the-pen-pot, with permission from the author, which remains the single best Omegaverse fic I’ve ever had the utmost pleasure to read. If you enjoy BBC Johnlock and/or Omegaverse fiction, you should absolutely read this because the worldbuilding is just…breath-takingly magnificent and it’s 326k of pure genius. Thank you very much for allowing me to play in your sandbox, darling, and for letting that fic grace the internet. Regarding any random differences in the world BeautifulFiction created, I’m chalking that up to cultural and slang differences between the UK and U.S.

This fic was originally supposed to be the next chapter of my Kinktober 2019 series, which is slotted for Omegaverse, but it…sort of ballooned out of control. This is damn near classic Big Bang word counts and by the time that I hit 15k in this particular fic without even ending the first scene, I realised that it would have to be its own fic.

The absolutely stunning art was done by wspace and holy fuck everyone, it’s amazing! Please, for the love of G-d, go shout love through keysmashes and internet shrieking because it is fucking gorgeous and I keep catching myself just staring at it. Thank you so much for your piece, wspace, and for being so flexible about what Stephen and Tony look like. I know AU fusions between 616 and MCU characters can be tricky but you nailed it so again, thank you very much.

Hey everyone

The blog we all know and love – the lovely hardworkers behind the IronStrange fests, bang, and all that wonderful content – were cruelly stripped away from the collective that made it whole.  What used to be IronStrangeHQ has been literally stolen by Parøxysm ( @lumina-interficias​ ) and Erja ( @erjastrangestark​ ), and has been parodied into a blog renamed @fuckyeahironstrange​.  All of the blood, sweat, and tears that Kim ( @cereus-at-night ), Ani ( @a-blog-against-team-cap ), and Izzy ( @music-is-the-voice-of-the-soul ) – as well as Paro and Erja, I will obviously say to credit – has been stolen.

And you know what this is about?  Erja and Paro were literally making people uncomfortable in the discord server.  There were literal complaints about them, both to mods and on the actual channels themselves, about them making people uncomfortable in a place that was supposed to be safe.  In a discord server, and on the tumblr itself, where inclusion and comfort was key, Paro and Erja refused to censure themselves, refused to listen to the complaints, and refused to listen to reason.

Instead of bowing out because of personal reasons, the two of them decided to lock the other mods out of the account, change the name, and utterly, cruelly steal the hard work that all of the five mods had put into it.  The IronStrange Big Bang that I, and many others, participated in?  Stolen. The IronStrange Week Fest?  Stolen. The beautiful content that showed these two idiotic, lovesick superheroes/wizards in love or in a family with their lovely Spider Boy and Magnificent Harley?  Stolen.  The multitudes of followers just wanting a safe, happy place to ship?  Stolen.

I’m sorry, but if you follow @fuckyeahironstrange, @lumina-interficias, or @erjastrangestark, despite what they just did, then unfollow me now, because I won’t be associated with that kind of action or negativity.

So without further ado, follow the newly formed @ironstrangehaven, which is a phoenix raised from the ashes to give IronStrange shippers and fans the safe place you deserve.  It’s still in its infancy, and they’re still working out the formatting for the themes and content, but be patient and it will resume its amazing content that we all know and love.  Give them the credit and follow the hell outta them, because these three mods are absolutely phenomenal people who believe in inclusion, comfort, safety, happiness, and above all else, love.

Tony Stark meeting Shuri for the first time goes a little like this in my mind??

Shuri not terrified, Shuri is brave and stubborn and knows she’s smarter than Tony. But she also knows that up until now Tony’s been under the impression that he’s the smartest and he’s the best. So she’s worried, not of him turning out to be smarter, but of him being insulted by her genius.

And they meet and Shuri show’s him her work and he stay’s ridiculously quiet through most of the ordeal, only asking questions here and there. Watching her work with the sand tables as she explains each item in her lab and Tony watches closely.

And then, she stops, cause she’s shown him everything and told him what everything is and she just looks at him and waits for the ‘this is child’s play’ comment and to have to defend herself against a man who doesn’t know shit.

And slowly Tony lifts up his sunglasses and his eyes are fucking shining and his grin is huge and he looks at her like she’s the best thing to touch planet earth and he just mutters, “I’ve never had to say this, but explain that again, and slower.”
