hey with tr*mp abruptly announcing that they’re ending the census count on september 30, much earlier than originally planned (source, dated August 4, 2020), it’s vitally important that you get your census response in immediately. the census is used to determine how many seats your state gets in the house of representatives and also helps allocate federal funding for schools, roads, hospitals, and fire departments (source 1) (source 2).
it’s just a brief questionnaire, but it’s one of the most important things you can do to help your community right now. hundreds of millions of dollars are on the line, and some states are already poised to lose multiple seats in the house because of low response rates (source). it only takes a couple minutes, so please, consider taking a break and filling it out now!

Hey, Jeni! Curiosity has me wondering what your all-time favorite story is that you have written. Whether it's ficlet, drabble, oneshot or maybe something from a fest? Or maybe your top three? I'm not picky. Just want to hear about your work and why they are your favs?
OH MY GOSH HOW DO I ANSWER THIS
I’m definitely going to have to give a top 3 because the whole concept of favorites is impossible for me… but like, i’m for real going to have to scroll through my masterpost just to see what I’ve written. *hides face in shame*
Flicker definitely makes the list. Before it posted, I was terrified. I poured my soul into it. It was the most painful thing I’ve ever written and I was scared. I was offering up a piece of myself in a way that I thought people would hate. But when readers started telling me how I made them feel… I knew that everything I put myself and my characters through was worth it. I really feel like I was able to showcase realistic horror without delving into gratuitous shock factors with no real art behind it.
And on the opposite side of this spectrum To Hear You Say It was a favorite of mine before I even finished it. I loved my characters. They weren’t oc’s but the way I wrote the background characters personalized them for me. I could shout love for my Padma forever. She’s loud, she’s funny, she’s excitable, she’s unpredictable and I just loved being able to introduce my version of her. And Professor Vector was so fun to bring to life. Also, there are so many Easter eggs in this fic that I know they’ll never all be found and that makes it even more special to me.
Third place is a tie. He Had Time was the very first fanfic I ever wrote. It’s less than a thousand words, and it was really just my way of trying to capture Harry’s voice. Who Else But You was special to me because I was able to play with multiple formats, I was able to play with age progression, and of course, pining. I will always be a sucker for pining.
P.S. I absolutely adore you for making me say something nice about my own stories. You know we writers can be so self critical. Thank you! ♥
I need to read these... @drarrymylove is awesome 💜💙💚💛♥️😍😍😍😍
“I would have a lemonade with, uh, Spider-Man. We would connect, you know what I’m saying? We’re both the same age. He’s cool, I’m cool. […] I’ll probably help him with his suit and try to improve it behind Tony Stark’s back.” — Letitia Wright
“I think Peter would love it. It would be brilliant to have our characters meet up, it would be so funny.” — Tom Holland
