You are lovable, just the way you are.
I don’t mean “Some people will love you despite your identity” or “Some people will love you, even though you’re different” here. I mean “You are loveable. End of sentence.”
There’s no despite, no if or but. Some people will love you, some will not. Some will accept and understand you, some will not. Some will believe you, some will not. All of that tells us something about them - not about you.
Your loveableness doesn’t depend on other people. Your worth isn’t decided by other people. It’s inherent.
All the big and small things that may make you “different” make you unique. They make you to the person you are - and that person deserves love.

My dear lgbt+ kids,
It’s Transgender Awareness Week and I want to send a big hug to those of you who just started to think “Maybe I am trans” for the first time.
It can be a confusing and scary and exciting and beautiful thought - all at once! You may feel a wave of relief, like all the puzzle pieces are finally clicking together… while you at the very same time feel a wave of anxiety and insecurity over this new realization.
All of that is normal. It doesn’t matter how old or young you are, or how exactly this thought came to you - none of the things you feel right now are strange or a bad sign. You will figure it out. You won’t be stuck in a whirlwind of conflicting emotions forever but it’s okay if you are right now. It will all help you learn more about yourself.
