I've been a fan of the #VampireChronicles for a long time, and I thought it might be funny to share how I imagined the characters from the book VS their tv series counterparts <:

Interview with the Vampire — Suffering connoisseur. Reads Literature, not books. May have only read one VC book.

The Vampire Lestat — Loves gossip. Reads philosophy. Fun to be around, but has bitten before and will again.

Queen of the Damned — Went through a True Crime phase. Reads history books for fun. Neeeeeerd.

Tale of the Body Thief — Suffering connoisseur (but only other people’s suffering). Has read Edgar Rice Burroughs, may regret it. Hidden depths of silliness.

Memnoch the Devil — Ex-catholic. Has called themself a “scholar”. Insane but in a fun way.

The Vampire Armand — Suffering connoisseur (kinky). Has read Mary Renault. Empathetic to an almost disturbing degree.

Pandora — Very cool person. Like unapproachably cool. Reads everything. Happy to attend a protest any time, but may throw a brick.

Vittorio — Hahahaha just kidding

Merrick — IwtV is actually their favorite, but they don’t want people to think they’ve only read one VC book. Loves romance stories, but only if they’re tragic. Incredibly kind.

Blood and Gold — Celebrates the Ides of March like a holiday. Likes watching video compilations of children falling down. Funniest person you ever met.

Blackwood Farm — Spooky; owns a shawl. Has attended ghost tours in more than one city. Tells the most amazing stories that are definitely not true.

Blood Canticle — Is a contrarian. Big fan of multilayered metahumor. Watches action movies.

Prince Lestat — Idealistic. Has seen every Disney animated film. Has threatened violence over a fandom ship but is super nice in real life. Hates TotBT.

Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis — Thinks there are unresolved questions about the moon landing. Reads the news, but not from sources you’ve ever heard of. Amazing to smoke weed with.

Blood Communion — Responsible, closes cabinet doors if other people leave them open. Very protective of their friends. Would help you hide a body but will guilt trip you about it later.

first two vampire books: armand is so so so sad whenever his mask slips for even a second he’s so filled with despair that it makes everyone sad. lestat beat the shit out of him and then decided to help him because he felt bad for this miserable creature

armand in the devils minion chapter: it’s so fun to put rats in the microwave. I’m excited to learn everything in the world and watch the same movies on repeat and laugh and buy everything on the menu. we’re going to the opera! the museum! I love putting stuff in blenders and calling random people on the phone to talk to them for hours just because it’s so exciting that phones can call all over the world now. I’m going to buy an island. I love airplanes. i’ve learned how to make movies! WAKE UP!! I have questions to ask like how do phones work???? and i’ve also decided we’re going on vacation the plane leaves in thirty minutes so get up beloved!!!!

@ iwtv fandom don't hate me but someone pls help. lestat said that he couldn't burn / die by fire because of akasha's blood in him. but i'm kinda confused, because i thought this meant his fledglings would also have her blood (mixed with his). if so, that means antoinette couldn't have burned? or akasha's blood doesn't go to his fledglings?

When you drink from a more ancient vampire like theu are a sippy cup (i dont recall if iwtv calls it diablerie or not), you inherit some of their rizz. So Lestat likely encountered Akasha sometime after having Louis' baby. Or he was lying.

Just in case you’re not Gen-Z, this person is trying to say drinking Akasha’s blood would give him more strength, so perhaps he drank her blood after turning Louis and Claudia. 😂

It’s not how things went down in the book, but the show’s timeline for it may be different.

Santino did have a thing for rats, popping by the palazzo unannounced, and being mad at Marius.......
