It’s the start of a new year, let’s begin it with an update, hahaha!
Yes, hello, it’s been a while! Whoops! but here’s an update, hope y’all enjoy!
It was a most fortunate coincidence that occurred during the Battle of Kamino.
Fives, one the brave troopers who aided dear Luminara in her battle against Asajj Ventress, was on Shaak Ti’s list of candidates. It certainly makes the decision for her, as she would be sending him and Echo to Coruscant for a commendation regardless, so also sending them with the mission is the perfect opportunity.
It’s been a while! Unfortunately, my hands/arms are uuuhhhhhh let’s just say fucked rn. SO writing is a bit of a struggle. But finally! An update!
“Masters of the Council, I have some news.” Shaak Ti’s holograph gives a small bow.
“Listening, are we. Give your report, you may.” Master Yoda leans forward on his gimer stick, ears perking up attentively.
Mace can only hope that this report will be good news, considering the last they heard from Kamino was from the fleet in space around the planet engaging in a separatist fleet that had managed to make its way into the system. The realisation that there truly are information leaks in the Republic, there truly are still people who are double teaming… Well, it’s highly concerning.
Masterpost: Supreme Chancellor Obi-Wan Kenobi
or: “Obi-Wan’s Life Gets Worse (Though It’s Not As Bad As It Could’ve Been)” so aptly named by grunklebill
Based on this idea by @obaewankenope. The whole thing started as directly-into-tumblr ficlets on December 3rd, 2016 and then it grew and took on a life of its own.
It can now be found HERE on my AO3 since 2nd February 2019, though it’s currently far behind this masterlist and working to catch up.
The list goes from what happens earliest in the timeline to what happens last.

Happy Midsummer! Have some 4k of CK as a celebration! :D
Asajj is furious.
When she finds out who it is who sent the quite frankly false information that the Republic cloning facilities on Kamino would be unguarded, she is going to string them up by the skin of their throats. Not only was there a fleet in orbit around the planet as had been reported—and they had planned for as much, the distraction had worked perfectly—but there was an entire other fleet on the planet simply waiting for them.
She and Grievous arrived with the hopes of entirely wiping out the cloning facilities and securing a sample of the clones’ DNA. Such a victory would no doubt have boosted morale for the Separatists and stopped the absolute traitors who are speaking of a peaceful resolution and a return to the Republic right in their tracks. If anything is important, it’s stopping those ludicrous traitors from continuing to spew their garbage where the entire Separatist Senate can hear them.
I forgot to update in December and I am embarrassed. SORRY! Here’s the update!
Luminara is not entirely clear on the details of her current mission, or rather she does not know the underlying parts of it. She knows that she is heading to the cloning facilities in Tipoca City on Kamino to meet with Master Ti, and that she will likely be picking up a group of troopers, among which a single trooper will be carrying a secret missive, and it is her duty to escort said trooper back to Coruscant.
Here we go everyone!
Padmé isn’t sure what to do with herself, now that her worst fears—or are they her hopes?—have been confirmed.
Palpatine’s conviction was for rather minor things, nothing bad enough for prison, but instead hefty fines. She’s not sure she thinks it’s enough, but she wonders if it’s because she’s hungering for vengeance in her heart. He used her. He used their planet’s desperate need for help to further his own agenda. Their people were dying and suffering, and all he cared for was what he could get out of it.
My goodness people, I’m so sorry for the delay! I’ve been working on the structuring of my files to get a better overview of what remains of the project, to hopefully be able to speed writing up (even as work really means that my free-time is much more limited than it was once upon a time, lmao. Sometimes I miss December of 2016 when this whole thing started, 33k in a month of updates, amirite?)
it’s taken me so long I’m wondering if anyone even remember this plot point at this point, lmao
Also: belated happy midsummers to all my fellow Swedes!
Bail taps his finger against this desk and stairs unseeingly at the datapad in front of him.
He hadn’t been sure if the information Aleena Yashi gave him, though she’s worked as an assistant to multiple senators over the years, was true. But everything checks out. He briefly wondered why she would come to him about it, rather than Senator Lobos who she’s currently working for… But perhaps it’s because he’s known to have a favourable view of the Jedi that she’s done so. Perhaps it’s because all of this information mostly pertains to the Jedi and the laws surrounding them, and she wanted a prominent Senator who she could trust not to hide the information away because they don’t care for the Jedi.
So you have a Sith as chancellor
I was rereading Chancellor Obi wan Kenobi by @stonefreeak. And thought of something.
So in swtor
Well I thought one of the chancellors or senators was the Sith emperor but I cant find it... So i guess I put emperor vitate as a sneaky sith...
So I'm going to pretend he was possessing a chancellor back then. However, people blaimed the Jedi for not noticing. However with the Jedi not having anything to do with how the republic is won nor any voice, they counter argue. Especially bc there is an 'illegally', not with republic permission actually, on the Jedi homeworld of tython who they can't help their problems bc of the senate. And they live with them...
Similar to chancellor obi wan, they input something in the rules that are too numerous. If the people (senate and worlds) elect a sith into chancellorship (was going to be senator but palps is chancellor so...) Then the jedi, who know that if a Sith hides it is going to be hard to find... Will be able to take their order and leave the republic and domains of the Sith. This doesnt seem jedi like but the logic is if they like the sith, they can have their empire and leave the Jedi in peace as they dont want to help a Sith and the people who will most likely not care about Jedi anymore. Beacuse this was the old republic and they had a little more knowledge that wasn't lost AND were fighting Sith... They made it binding so the Sith couldn't do anything as they gathered the last force sensitive in the republic and known galaxy, then leave.
This happens during the clone wars when they realize the Sith was palpatine. So they went to the senate and activated this. (Also they take the clones that the Sith so generously gave them) and disabled then took out the chips.
The Jedi took their history, force sensitive they were able along with those that didnt want to be in an empire along with their men. They left known space to the 'unknown' which was still known back then.
So... Is this a good idea?

Are there any women in the Supreme Chancellor fic that claim Obiwan is the father of their child? Any wacky paternity claims now that he is the head of the Republic, or from when he was the High General? Just a random thought from considering what people say about our celebration and rereading the 'glistening abs' post. This series is one of my favorites on the Internet. You win best author award from me! Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you! That’s so sweet of you to say, I’m glad you enjoy it!
Re: people claiming Obi-Wan fathered their child… Well, I’m sure they exist. I wouldn’t be surprised.
However, I’ll bet most of the Galaxy is under the impression that the Jedi take a vow of celibacy (they don’t, it’s just generally messy to try and get it on when you don’t do relationships and don’t really feel like being someone’s ‘I HAD SEX WITH A JEDI’ story, so they mostly have sex with other people in the Order when the urge strikes) so people wouldn’t believe them anyway.
I guess. I don’t really think a lot about this stuff, lol.
Okay but have you considered:
Obi-Wan getting blindsided by questions from reporters about his secret love child and literally going “I’m a Jedi” when they ask him “ARE YOU THE FATHER!”
Obi-Wan getting a call from the Council who need to investigate these ‘claims’ and he has to be so damned controlled not to shout at them because “I don’t have relationships because The Code”
Satine hearing about these numerous “Obi-Wan Kenobi banged me and I have his kid” stories and just demanding to speak to him and him spending several weeks avoiding every message she sends because he does not want to be laughed at/murdered by her
Anakin getting asked about it and just shrugging and going “he had me to deal with” and “he never would have put me in that sort of position” (meaning ‘he wouldn’t have made me deal with someone in my life who took his attention when I was literally recovering from being born a slave’) but everyone just hears how good Obi-Wan was as a parent and “IF HE DOES HAVE LOVE CHILDREN WHY HAS HE NEVER CARED FOR THEM??”
It all coming to a dramatic, messy close one night on the holo when someone ‘leaks’ that Obi-Wan is actually sterile from an accident or whatever so none of those babies are his and everyone are idiots for being so fucking dramatic about it all
Obi-Wan spends far too much time hiding among the greenhouse that his office has become until it all dies down
I adore one of tropes going around in Star Wars fandom: Obi-Wan knows about Anakin and Padme’s relationship, takes it upon himself to stage a diversion, and because of that he systematically entertains other Councilors with fancy dinners and conversations, lest they could start to search for Anakin.
However, behavior like that is a very direct political statement. Because, while Obi-Wan certainly doesn’t think about it in those terms and probably doesn’t even realize he’s doing it (a terrible misstep for a trained negotiator), he cultivates his contacts, courts his potential political cloud, and gathers allies.
For the outsider, it looks like he’s gunning for higher position.
So, I would really like to read something where Obi-Wan ends up as the Master of the Order by accidentally launching a successful political campaign, surprising absolutely no-one except for him and probably Anakin.
The greatest bit about this is, Yoda is therefore no longer Master of the Order. It cannot be healthy for an organisation to be run by the same guy for centuries on end (and let’s face it, he’s at least been on the Council for that long), cultural stagnation and people looking to that guy as the Most Wisest Ever is the very best that could happen. The Jedi might still be outsmarted by Palpatine, but Anakin’s chances of going darkside just dropped by a lot with Obi-Wan in charge.
@stonefreeak this is similar to your supreme chancellor obi wan. Ish. Yoda would be so cackling about this.
