“But don’t bring tomorrow, cause I already know, I’ll lose you”
padawan
#also i can’t help but thinking#that anakin would unexpectedly find himself in role#of the Responsible One#(he looks so serious)#while the other three cherfully wreack havoc (via @ialreadyreadthatfanfic)
I totally agree. I feel like Obi-Wan would be all “consequences? what are those?” while he cheerfully jumps out of windows and off of tall buildings into passing hovercars. Ahsoka would be cackling and following his lead and probably showing off some acrobatics while she does so. Anakin would trail behind them scratching his head and being all “when did I become the boring responsible one???”
(I sadly don’t know enough about Kanan to have any headcanons about him here)
Team Padawan Go!
Goodness. I’m having wonderful mental images of - a bunch of things. Anakin wouldn’t be able to believe that THIS was the padawan version of his Master. Ahsoka would have a similar reaction - and meanwhile, Caleb would be fanning the flames and cheerfully running amok alongside them all.
…I actually think that the other three would probably make a mental note to try and meet up against with Caleb when they get back to the Temple, because he’s fun to be around!
I’m now picturing Caleb not-so-innocently wondering out loud about some obscure species of wildlife which of course spurs Obi-Wan into making and executing a plan in which they sneak away from everyone, steal a ship, and take off for parts unknown to go exploring. Obi-Wan then falls into a nest of gundarks and has to be rescued by the others. Anakin doesn’t know how to react to finding out that his Master was always a magnet for trouble. How did he even survive his apprenticeship the first time around?
Please let “Obi-Wan falls into a nest of gundarks” become a running joke in this AU. He always finds a nest to fall into, even on planets where there are supposedly no gundarks.
Yes! I kinda want “Obi-Wan falls into a nest of gundarks” to be a constant across all AUs. No matter what else has changed, Obi-Wan falls into a nest of gundarks.
“….Annnnd then my master fell into a nest of gundarks.” Padawan Skywalker said, shoulders slumping a little. The tone of his voice taking on a kind of resigned bafflement. He shoves down the urge to scratch at the bacta patch on his cheek and shifts his weight off of his slightly sliced up right leg, wishing, not for the first time, that the reportee got to sit in a chair when reporting to the council.
The council blinks at him for a moment, then almost as one pull out datapads.
After a moment master Windu looks up. “Yatche is mostly a tundra, padawan Skywalker.”
“Gundarks are high desert creatures.” Master Koon points out helpfully. Anakin thinks he’s trying not to laugh, but can’t be sure because of the mask.
Anakin shrugs his shoulders helplessly. “Maybe a ship carrying some crashed? Someone let ‘em loose to see if they’d survive? Who knows. Obi-wan, I mean, my master was babbling something about natural hot springs and ‘life will find a way’ before they sedated him back on the ship.”
Everyone thinks padawan Skywalker is lowkey bullshitting them and that the inevitable gundark mentions in his reports are just him jokingly replacing the name of local creatures.
This is, up to the moment when Obi-Wan stumbles onto gundarks in… unused lower levels of the Jedi Temple.
“There were… what?” Mace Windu asks dubiously.
“Gundarks,” replies stubbornly Anakin.
“This foolery has gone on too long,” growls Mace, irritated. “Just tell me what is really down there, Skywalker.”
“There. Are. Gundarks. Down. There,” growls back Anakin. “I’m not joking!”
Mace can’t take this any longer. Skywalker can be dealt with later. He and other masters go down there, expecting anything but gundarks.
And, well.
It’s much harder to dismiss Skywalker’s reports as a joke when you have gundark bites in unfortunate places, as Mace Windu finds out.
It would be even funnier if the clones are all fed up with the general saying everywhere they go obi wan falls into gunark nests that they follow them and actually find more gundark nests where there aren't supposed to and have to agree with the Jedi council that it is weird that gundarks always find obi wan.
Star wars clone wars Wrong Jedi
I was thinking about this episode and realized it seemed familiar. In Jedi apprentice books, after obi wan came back to the Jedi after Melida daan aka 2 factions against each other and The Young, both factions children fighting, he comes back and the temple is bombed. The temple was bombes, younglings were in danger and his childhood friend Bant was in danger of being killed. The ones who did it were Xanatos, fallen Jedi and former padawan of qui gon jinn. He took in Bruck Chun, an agemate of Obi wan who was also a bully. He had to face these 'darksiders' putting his home and its inhabitants at risk after going through a literal war zone that after a potential love interest died almost started fighting again and ruining her memory. (Cerasi). At the end, I think xanatos walked away alive but sometime later would go into a pit of acid and die in front of obi wan. Bruck Chun, agemate and bully died in front of obi wan. Also obi wan was initially accused of something. Now we go to the clone wars where once again someone has bombed the temple and the one blamed is his grandpadawan, also accused of killing clone troopers that he knows she loves. Then it turns out it was her friend. Just imagine the thought that he is having flashbacks to just returning from a war zone (which he also is doing) and finding the temple bombed, a jedi he knows to be innocent accused. The Jedi from around his time period remembering and trying to give him an out but he decides this bullshit isn't going to stand. He talks to the senate that it is an internal affair unless they want to open up their own investigations to having the war fought by Jedi and not ordinary people or clones. Him standing up to the council and tarkin to stop the mistake from happening again and putting the real person who put bariss up to it behind bars. Not allowing barris to be executed or in the senate bc obviously some Sith laid a trap for her. OBI WAN REMEMBERING A PREVIOUS TEMPLE BOMB AND DOES STUFF.
Cody goes to Rescue Younglings
so in the clone wars, there is an episode called the gathering, or a series of episodes where younglings go into Ilum’s cave to get their crystals, they are successful. However, when they are in a ship with R2, Ahsoka and Huyang (droid that will help build their lightsabers) they are caught in a trap with Hondo trying to steal it.
Ahsoka manages to get them off the ship, but she is taken with them.
They call Obi wan who will send Cody to get them and Ahoska. However, he does not have the time because Grevious manages to intercept them.
What if Cody did manage to go rescue the younglings along with Ahoska, this could be great development for the 212th along with Cody.
Ahoska is also never really given screen time with other troopers than 501st, so we don’t know how she would act with the 212th or Cody. Also given the fact that Obi wan trusts Cody to go get the younglings, this is huge trust. Younglings are the future of the temple and jedi.
The younglings would also get to actually meet with a clone, who then gets huge following in the temple because younglings are gossips, who spread what happened to others which spreads to the 212th.
Hopefully after that, the younglings decide that they want their own trusted clone companions because all the jedi from padawan to master to Councillor really trust them, and basically take them everywhere they go.
So, on Coruscant who is there but the ones that are stationed there? This means Fox and his group. So now we have jedi younglings wanting to have that same connection like their elders and growing really attached to the guard, but then there are the jedi that come back to temple for a break with THEIR clones, so obviously they have to go and follow (stalk) them and question them until the clones get attached, because hello! The clones now know that their jedi that they protect has been talking so much about them that the younglings want to meet them. The jedi care about them that they would tell their young and they want to know them.
I wonder if Anakin and Ahsoka ever talked about
The fact that neither of them was chosen by their respective Master.
I mean they were both accepted, but Obi-Wan did not technically choose Anakin, (taking him to fulfill Qui-Gon’s request) and the Council just plopped Ahsoka into a war zone with Anakin like “here’s a young spirit to guide and teach in the middle of this of violent conflict lol you got this maybe”
I feel like after a really tough battle where Ahsoka kind of messed up she’d be sitting with all these doubts and eventually admit to Anakin that she doesn’t think he would’ve chosen her as a padawan.
And he’d admit that he thought the same about Obi-Wan for long time (but doesn’t quite admit that he still kind of does sometimes).
And after that Anakin goes out of his way to make sure that Ahsoka knows he would have chosen her in any circumstance, even if it’s a subtle dumb thing. When they’re paired with another master and padawan, Anakin always makes a teasing comment about the other padawan before punching her lightly on the arm and saying he’s glad he didn’t get stuck with someone like that. Or he eventually starts complimenting her reverse grip, saying its great that no other padawan could fight like that.
I just think Anakin would have been very cognizant of the fact that Ahsoka might think he wouldn’t want after all the doubts he had with Obi-wan
This could apply to obi wan. He wasn't at first accepted but then was accepted, but reluctantly. He aged out. So I think he understands, but he mostly likes and understands JEDI raised younglings, not anyone else.
Clone Commander CC-1010 – “ Fox ”
“ Can’t say I blame you, Commander Tano, but all the same, you’re under arrest. ”
You know what? I want a story where the younglings in the temple decide that these guards are THEIR clones. Ahsoka has the 501st and other padawans bring back stories of their clones, and some masters love their clones. The younglings cant do anything for the war effort but they want companions. And who else is available but these planet bound clones who feel different in the force and are awesome. (They totally have favs, but love them all bc they replicate the masters who love all their clones)
New thought! Remember slick, what if the clones guarded a clone prison and the younglings were all force guides them to these clones. They hang out with the disillusionized clones in jail along with the guards. When dogma happens, the Jedi obviously know what happens with the younglings so maybe obi wan slips to the younglings about what happened so they can give support.
What is needed
So there are a lot of obi/rex and stuff of the 501st, but there is greater need. Yes I ship them and love the 501st but what I need/want is more obi wan/cody. I need obi wan and his 212th battalion. I need some aus of obi wan when he is at kamino and stuff with clones. I need some Anakin and 501st interaction, before during and after Ahsoka. I need the clones watching Jedi fight along with them fighting alongside. I want the Jedi to interact with both their clones and each others. I need to see them interacting with other groups of Jedi and clones. I want to see the clones interacting with the ones still at temple bc they are too young. I need to see the clones interacting with huyang, the droid with David tennants voice to find out more of their generals and commanders when they were young. I want to see
