Transformers X Haso

I need more transformers x Humans are space orcs.

I need these smol, delicate humans the autobots have to protect to pull out Molotov cocktails and destroy decipticon joints.

I need a teacher to mix up a swimming pool size batch of oobleck and trap a cybertronian in it to protect his students.

I need humans using acid, or throwing rocks in joints, or otherwise inconveniencing decepticons while the autobots get more and more concerned.

I need Optimus or Ratchet to morosely bring up something that happened in the war, and a human to be like, "Oh that. Yeah, we made that illegal, it wasn't considered sporting." or "Wait, you guys have been fighting for how long, and that's the most extreme thing you did?"

I need a bot or a con to get curious and open a history book, and the next morning be traumatized by the shit humanity has done.

I need Humans that get tired of the whole, "Humanity is smol and fragile" shtick, and decide to go kill decipticons so they stop attacking the autobots.

I need Optimus to slowly realize we are not cute, fluffy little creatures, but agents of chaos and destruction. Beings who will destroy anyone and anything that threatens our family, and we consider the bots family.

Anonymous asked:

What if TFA Sentinel Prime ends up in the TFP universe? How do the bots react to him and his attitude, especially towards organics?

-Optimus tries to be patient, he really does, but Sentinel must be a test sent from Primus himself because he's exhausting every bit of OP's patience. Tries to be kind and understanding towards Sentinel, thinking that the whole situation is probably very stressful and making him act erratic but nope, turns out he's just like that. Will probably end up having enough of Sentinel's attitude and accidentally end up scaring the shit out of him with his anger. The nice ones are always the scariest once they snap.

-Ratchet can't fucking stand Sentinel, on god he's going to weld his mouth shut if he does not stop talking within the next 5 minutes. Has no patience for his bullshit and belittles this supposed 'Prime' for every little thing he says and does.

-Bless Bumblebee, he really does try to be nice to Sentinel but Sentinel is just impossible. The moment he learns that Bee can't talk he starts talking smack and when he also learns that he's this universe's version on the Bumblebee he knows he straight up starts ordering him around. Bee might cut a bitch.

-Bulkhead tries to be patient... for about 5 seconds. Sentinel assumes this Bulkhead is as much of a pushover as the one he knows and so he tries to push him around. Bulkhead quickly proves that he's got no power over him by throwing him as far as he can.

-Poor Arcee, Sentinel is just insufferable towards her. He tries to flirt and brags about how great of a Prime he is and just can't catch a hint that she's not interested. Finally manages to get him to leave her alone by offering to spar and utterly beating the shit out of him.

The saddest Transformers dream I have ever had...

I am the human liaison between the Autobots and Decepticons ( yeah, AU bayverse all the way ).

I often get death threats because it is well known that if it came down to choosing Cybertronians or humanity – I would choose the bots/cons in a heartbeat.

But those threats never bother me. However, one day I give the deciding recommendation that all Cybertronains would be expelled from earth.

Of course, the bots/cons are angry and hurt ( thinking I am like all other humans and betrayed them ). Between them and other humans allies who hate me for this move, I am an emotional wreck but am staying strong and outwardly portraying nothing.

At one point, a human ally who is pretty close with some of the bots/cons comes up to me and gently asks, “what really happened?” Of course, it’s at this moment I fucking break down crying, telling her that a secret government force threatened to kill all Cybertronians on earth if I did not help get them off the planet. In the dream, I was 1246633% sure they had the resources to actually kill them and so I decided to protect them ( even though I wanted so badly to tell Optimus and Megatron about it ). I tell her through heavy tears that they are my family and I love them so much that I would take all their hate and anger if it meant that they would live. They have already been through so much, they are finally at peace with one another.

After this breakdown, I go back to my cold outwardly appearance and a few days later the same human ally comes up and tells me I need to see this. She is taking me to a bunker that the bots/cons used as a rec room and I assume she is going to show me how empty it is. But when I get there, I see all the familiar vehicle forms and I am like: “no…no… no, no, no,” and start bawling again as they all start to transform.

I learn that the other human ally had been secretly recording me when I confessed why I did what I had done and gave the recording to them.

Optimus is looking at me with those kind optics ( you all know the ones I am talking about, right? ) and even in a dream I don’t understand how I could cry any harder than I already was but I did as he lifted me to his face and nuzzled me.

That’s when I woke up.

Have a short fic between Optimus and Hot Rod placed in Cyberverse season 3 episode 7

Fifty-seven loops.

Hot Rod spent fifty-seven loops trying to get Optimus out of his and everyone else’s nighmare.

Try after try after try and he still wasn’t there. It was getting tiresome, but the black Autobot kept trying.

And now, when he finally got his leader’s attention, instead of thanks for not giving up he received a punch in the faceplates.

Hot Rod fell down the platform hitting his head against it’s metal, letting out a painful groan.

“What are you doing?” Optimus Prime asked coldly, looking at him with a frown.

“Optimus!” The young Autobot cheered. Despite the way he was treated, he was overjoyed that he finally managed to get his leader’s attention. “You remember me!”

“You are the one who keeps telling me the parade is not real.”

“Yes! That’s right! Exacly!” Hot Rod felt hope rising in his spark. After such a long time, he finally received a different response. His leader recognized him and even understood what he was saying. “But…” However this hope was quickly fading away during Optimus’s silence. The older mech always was silent before answering with the same terrifyingly bland response. The young Autobot tried to stay positive. Maybe he succeeded this time. Maybe he snapped his leader out of his trans. Maybe, finally, he won’t have to be alone in this. Unfortunately however…

“It is the perfect day for a para-”

“DON’T SAY THAT!”

Before Prime had a chance to finish his sentence, Hot Rod stopped him. The confused leader looked down and saw a broken expression on his young solider’s faceplates.

“Don’t. Say that… not again.” Hot Rod whispered harshly, grunting his denta. That caught Optimus completely off guard. That caught everyone completely off guard. The crowd began murmuring, glancing at the two from time to time.

“Please, just don’t…”

“Hot Rod, I…” Optimus walked down the platform, competely forgetting about the current event and kneeled before the fallen mech. “I’m sorry. Perhaps I shouldn’t have punched you so har-”

“Why won’t you just listen to me?!” The black Autobot felt metal crunching under his digits.

“Listen to yo-?”

“I’m trying to help you! I’m trying to help everyone! But I can’t do this on my own!” Hot Rod’s voice began cracking as he spoke. Optimus’ expression softened with worry.

“Hot Rod…” The Prime helped the other on his knees, putting his servo on his shoulder. “I think we should discuss this after everything’s over.”

“This will never be over!” The Speedster furiously shook off Optimus’ arm. “You’re trapped in here! And I’m the only one who can help you! And I just… I just…” The young Autobot grabbed his head, trying to hold his sobs. “I don’t know what to do!… I’m not a leader, Optimus!… I need you more than anything right now… I need you!…”

It was painful to watch Hot Rod like this during such perfect day. Optimus couldn’t understand that. Why was he upset? What happened to him to bring him to such state? Why did he believe that they were trapped?

The older Autobot didn’t understand it, but he wasn’t going to let Hot Rod suffer like that.

Optimus lifted the black Speedster’s chin so he could see him better.

“Is this about the conversation we had during the battle for Cybertron?” His voice was calm and comforting. Just like it used to be. If Hot Rod didn’t know any better by now, he’d suspect that he made some progress. Nonethless, he really needed to release his pain. He spent too much time in here to just waste it.

The young warrior bowed his head, shutting down his optics as he ex vented heavily. “I did everything you asked me for. I tried to learn cautiousness. I learned it, but I’m still not a leader they need, nor deserve. I’m just not ready…”

Optimus listened patiently, bringing Hot Rod a bit closer, encouraging him to go on. The black Autobot looked up, optics painfully horrified.

“I need you, Optimus… Everyone is counting on me, and I just can’t help them on my own… I need your guidance.”

Considering that Hot Rod wished to speak with him then rather than later meant that he was being serious about this. Maybe even desperate.

“I see.” Optimus responded thoughtfully. “I’ve been going through the same thing you know. Leadership comes with experience and requires a lot of responsibility. I’ve seen great potential in you for a long time.”

“But… but I’m not… So far I’ve made only bad decisions which led to even worse situations.”

“Have you gotten out of those situations?”

“Yes, but… if it wasn’t for my friends, I wouldn’t have made it.”

“Friends are very important, even for leaders. You can learn from them and they can learn from you. Together, you can achieve your goal.”

“I tried so many times by now… is it any worth continuing?”

“As one wise mech said, your goal might take you even thousands and thousands of attempts until it’s achieved. During those attempts, you have to learn from your mistakes, and with time, you’ll get there. I know that whatever you’re struggling with is bothering you, and you can count on me to help you. On all of us.”

When Optimus pulled him closer again, Hot Rod felt like he couldn’t take it anymore. Without any warning, he jumped on Optimus, wrapping his arms around him and letting out all of his frustration and worry in form of lubricant streaming from his optics like an Energon waterfall. The Autobot leader was surprised at first, but slowly he embraced Hot Rod back, patting his yellow spoiler. Everyone was staring at them in shock.

“Wasn’t Hot Rod red before?” Windblade noticed in the background.

“Well, yeah.” Bumblebee replied, tilting his head. “Strange. I get a bit sad when I look at him for some reason…”

“I can’t believe he made all this mess just to get a hug from Optimus!” Rock n’ Ruin commented, picking up their fingers from the ground.

“I’m really happy that you see me Optimus…” Hot Rod sobbed softly. “I’m really really happy.”

“I’m happy to see you too.” Optimus couldn’t help but chuckle. “And I’m glad I could help you. But now I’m afraid we have to clean up this little mess you’ve made. After all, it would be such a shame to let this perfect day for a parade go to waste.” Suddenly, the young black Autobot’s timer began beeping, informing that soon the next loop will begin. He gasped. Immediately, Hot Rod pulled back and looked at Optimus with widened optics.

“Optimus, you have to transform!”

“Transform?” The Autobot leader rose an optical ridge. “Why?”

“I’m going to explain it later! All of you have to transform now before everything will rese-!”

Suddenly, Hot Rod disappeared in a flash.

“Hot Rod?” Prime widened his optics, standing up. The crowd started looking around, searching for the mech. “Hot Rod?!”

“Incoming!” Just then, three yellow jets crossed the sky. And so, the new loop began.

So, I read Turn of a Switch by spaceliquid on ao3.

It is about how g1/idw comics orion pax (aka before optimus prime) is switched with another orion pax - the transformers prime.

So basically g1/idw was a police officer with megatron being a miner/gladiator that wrote poetry and speeches.

Prime orion was an archivist (librarian) and i think his megatron was also a gladiator and gave speeches.

So we follow g1/idw universe with prime orion pax. He doesnt remember anyrhing but ends up with megatron and they start trying to get cybertron away from functionalist council and the prime - sentinel then zeta.

Stuff happens with sentinel dying and zeta becoming prime until things happen and orion becomes optimus prime. He and megatron are leading both decepticons (those who fight more for their freedom) and autobots (peaceful solution). Also megatron is lord high protector - rules with optimus.

However i had a thought. This is g1/idw. What if things happened similar to g1?

Except instead of autobots leaving its zeta and his supporters, with the decepticons in hot pursuit. Just imagine that the time difference is longer on cybertron and in the space flight.

So when zeta and his supporters arrive on earth, they make up a plan to get supporters of humans by pretending to be autobots and decepticons as evil.

It works at first - until things start showing. The decepticons calling zeta a false prime and angry that they dare take autobot name.

Then the decepticons build the space or ground bridge... Whatever it is to get in contact with cybertron bc they havent had contact while on earth like before. Then when they get in contact more autobots and decepticons come through. Including optimus.

Just imagine the next battle where the real autobots and decepticons win. And then the humans get hit with the vision that is optimus prime and lord high protector megatron working together to take down zeta prime.

Imagine the looks when optimus talks to the humans about what really happened and how sad he is that their world got involved. And sorry that megatron did not even try to make things better.

Imagine the thing with 'autobots' and decepticons went for a couple years and so the humans knew something was up between these groups. Something that wasnt up. But the decepticons were not really that interested as they thought it would be a while until they got back - and well... Organics.

Humans did improve during the years to get inside and hear gossip but they were either in cybertronian or did not make sense in context. Also i bet megatron just didnt feel the need to explain. After all it is a small amout of time to cybertronians.

Optimus is on earth with megatron and talks about how things are on cybertron now that zeta wasnt there. Also autobots being interested in humans and decepticons finally giving in.

Fic Prompts: Transformers Tuesday

Considering that the last time anyone had seen the Dinobots, everyone was evacuating Cybertron, a little surprise was reasonable.

Considering the Dinobots turned up in the center of a densely populated human city, confused and disoriented, “surprise” gave way to “panic” in the space of about two minutes.

“There’s…there’s no way we’re keeping this quiet, is there?” Agent Fowler scrubbed a hand over his face. “Alright, I’m calling Mearing.”

“I would rather you did not,” Optimus said honestly, “I believe the director finds my presence distressing, and I myself would prefer to avoid…awkward interactions. However, if that is our only option, I will not stop you.”

Fowler sighed. “Very intimidating woman. She has to be, with her job. Not your fault she met you when you were having an off-day-”

“A virus, in point of fact,” Ratchet interjected unnecessarily, and was ignored.

“Hey Optimus?” Miko tiptoed to peek at the monitors. “Is it just me, or do the awesome Robo-sauruses look kinda freaked out?”

Next to her, Raf frowned. “You’re right, they do look agitated. They’re not moving though, that’s smart.”

Ratchet huffed and muttered something under his breath. Considering it was in Cybertronian, only Raf could pick up any of the meaning, but the tone conveyed context well enough. Evidently this sort of wait-and-assess-the-situation behavior was not the norm for Dinobots.

“If it were not a populated area, I would recommend sending Wheeljack to assist them,” Optimus mused. “His personality is less likely to agitate them further.”

Ratchet turned very slowly and stared at Optimus a full three seconds. “Think about what you just said for a moment, Optimus. Wheeljack, less likely to cause agitation? The Pit must have just frozen over.”

Optimus leveled a surprisingly dry look at the medic. “Ratchet my friend, we both know that if I were to go to meet them, it would not end well. Grimlock has a good spark, but he does not forget insults, even unintentional ones.”

“Right. And that’s why you would send Wheeljack,” Ratchet shook his head with a snort. “Well then, why not send Miko as well? I’m sure that wouldn’t go awry!”

His sarcasm was almost a physically tangible thing. Miko was, justifiably, irritated by the dismissive tone. So she decided to deliberately misinterpret it.

“Good idea, doc-bot! If they’re willing to throw down with any Autobots, you’d better send someone they won’t think is a threat, right?”

“Your logic is sound, but you are absolutely not going,” Optimus said sternly, “Not until we have established that they understand that they must interact very carefully with humans.”

Agent Fowler stepped back from where he’d been leaning on the rail and shook his head. “And all of that is a moot point, because we can’t send anyone in there until that city is evacuated. However you want to handle the Dinobots after that is up to you. Right now we’re focused more on damage control.”

“Right, you can’t really explain this one away,” Raf nodded.

“Well we can,” Fowler hedged, “It’s just that most of the explanations would probably result in an arms race or a really weird cold war. Nobody wants to consider a rival country building gigantic robotic dinosaurs and leaving them in populated areas.”

“Better than cloning dinosaurs I guess,” Raf shrugged.

Ratchet stared down at him.

“Google Jurassic Park,” Miko suggested.

After a brief silence that indicated that Ratchet was doing exactly that, he was heard to mutter, “Humans are banned from science.”

Optimus becomes a meme long before he ever reaches earth.

The leaked video becomes widely known as Metal Jesus welcomes Oppy to robot heaven or something similar.

If there is a Decepticon attack and Oppy is damaged, Megatron will be globally known as Metal Satan, and the millennials and gen Z's will be mobilized against him before he ever sets foot on the planet.

ALTERNATELY

The Autobots bring Oppy onto their ship to help take care of him. He's a curious little guy! Always rolling around and picking up random objects to examine.

He quickly captures everyone's sparks.

Meanwhile the techs back at NASA are freaking out because they get to virtually explore an alien spaceship and EVERYTHING IS AMAZING!

I'm love this

The little rover is so fragile, to a being who is used to the cold void of space, to the hostile radiations and dust clouds and ice storms between worlds. What’s curious about this little machine is that it’s *built*. A civilization prodding gently at the secrets of their own solar system. Optimus is *charmed and delighted* by the little thing, sending all it’s data back. Curious and gentle and it’s not really a *pet* so much as a companion. He speaks to it in its language all the time, as if it *is* a pet yes, but also. Optimus Prime is a politician and a master of diplomacy. He’s absolutely gleefully monitoring all the internet data traffic that he can get his servos on, about this little robot and the joy of the people who built it. This is his chance to be soft, and gentle with a fledgling species. To learn about them and their great history, no more than a single blink of Primus’ eye. The Autobots tend to think that Optimus is kind of strange sometimes, but they do indulge him because more often than not, he’s *correct* in his strange actions. And when they do make contact with Earth. It’s via that little robot and its friends, the ones they’ve plucked out of the dirt and ice, to be gently restored to functionality, their power sources rebuilt and their instruments retuned and their data transmission clearer than ever. And they sing the little robot happy birthday, because it’s tradition and because this little ambassador deserves to be honored. Hello, Earth, Optimus says, his voice deep and gentle as he kneels before the little thing. “We’re the Autobots, and it’s a pleasure to meet you.” (It’s not gentle, there’s plenty of bullshit in politics, but Optimus understands the politics and the people and how the two are not the same. The politicians are offered cool professionalism. The public is offered their honesty and personality and joy.) Nasa, collectively, loses its shit. And Opportunity sings itself Happy Birthday to a deep chorus of voices raised in the same kind of giddy exploratory love as the people who built the little drone. (Someday, Opportunity and Curiosity will wobble their shaky way to their feet, beeping and squeaking and figuring out their voices, to say “I love you” to the people who have loved them first.)

TFP HC/AU

So you know how Raf was able to understand Bumblebee’s binary speech pattern? What if the reason for this was because he had encountered Cybertronians before, but just doesn’t remember?

Raf was born to a large family, and has often felt overlooked despite his outstanding intellect. So what if, when he was younger, he had been left to his own devices a lot?

Imagine that one day, he is (briefly) forgotten in the car while his mom and siblings go grocery shopping. He’s not even a year old yet, so he’s stuck in his carseat. Obviously he’s a baby and has no idea what’s going on, so he doesn’t find it weird when the family car starts making funny noises. It’s mostly chirps and whirs and beeps, yet somehow it comes across as comforting, and baby Raf giggles at the sounds. Thank goodness, for his sake, his mom comes back shortly after.

As he gets older and into his toddler years, he’s allowed to wander the house while the rest of his family is busy handling his siblings. More often than not he waddles to the garage, paying a visit to his family’s “singing” car. Whenever he tries to describe his discovery to his siblings he becomes frustrated, because he doesn’t have the words yet. His siblings barely listen to him anyways.

In fact, there was a time his family was concerned for his speech and cognitive development. He wasn’t talking like other toddlers his age, and nearly got held back from starting school. Thankfully, he caught up to his peers quickly… not long after the family’s car was “stolen” when he was 3.

The kicker? I like to pretend it was a Vehicon.

THIS. I love it!

But we need more of this! What happens when the vehicon is one of the troops fighting the Autobots and they recognize Raf?

*I… I am so sorry*

What in the name of Primus is he doing here?!

That was the first thought that crossed the Vehicon’s mind when they spotted a familiar spiky-haired head trying to hide behind the boulders.

For a nanosecond they forgot everything around them. They forgot about the battle, they forgot about the Autobots who had attacked the mine some seconds ago, they forgot about the blasters shooting death from everywhere, Pit, they even forgot about Megatron because the sparkling was there, in the middle of a violent storm he wasn’t supposed to witness.

They couldn’t be mistaken. It was him, the little one to whom he had taught binary during his first mission of infiltration on Earth. Yes they had been stupid enough to think that a baby human was the same thing as a sparkling and thus their basic programming had awaken when the little one had started to express worry after being left alone – what kind of creators would be dumb enough to forget about them ? The Vehicon had begun to speak in binary to soothe the sparkling and it worked because Primus, his little giggles were the most adorable thing they had ever heard in a long time.

Then it had become a habit. Every time they were alone with the sparkling they would talk to them in binary, and the little one would stare at them with wide shining optics that seemed to understand – and even though they had learned he was a mere human, an organic life without intelligence, they could not help but think that this little one was different, better than the others. So whenever he came they would beep and click and whirr, and seeing the little one with his beautiful smile was enough to warm their spark – oh wait they didn’t have one, but whatever.

One day the little one had answered – yes he had tried to speak in binary ! The Vehicon had been so delighted they had almost honked their horn. Thanks Primus they didn’t or else they would have blown up their cover.

Sometimes the little one would climb onto one of their seat and curl into a ball and water started to leak from his eyes… The sounds coming from his mouth were so full of pain and sadness.

::{What is wrong, little one?}:: they would beep in concern. ::{Hush now, there is no need to worry. I am here.}::

And slowly the sparkling would calm down, until no more water came out from his eyes. Sometimes he even fell asleep on their seat, and the warmth his small body displayed felt… very nice.

Then the Vehicon was assigned to another duty. They had never seen the sparkling again.

Until today.

He had grown up. The little one had changed a bit, but he still had the same eyes – now filled with fear, trying to hide from the battle.

Why now? Why here? Of all the places, why here, where his fragile body could be easily destroyed?

The Vehicon could not betray their faction. They lived to serve Megatron, to obey. That was why they had been built and brought to the battlefield.

They were a war machine, only meant to kill and destroy, and they accepted it. But the little one – the little one deserved none of this. He was innocent and had a right to keep this innocence.

They were a mere drone. Disposable. There were plenty like him.

The little one was one.

And so they made their decision.

They ran from the battlefront, dodged a few shots – and one could have thought they were just trying to find a better place to shoot – until they were in front of the human.

They could see he was scared.

::{I am not here to harm you, little one,}:: they beeped, which seemed to surprise the boy. Before he could say anything they gently scooped him into their servos, trying not to harm him with their claws, then started to run again.

“What are you doing!” he screamed.

::{Safety. A safe place for Rafael.}::

The human gaped at them.

“How… how do you know my name?!”

Ah… Right. After all, the Vehicons were all the same. But they could not answer, because a well-placed shot tore their leg apart.

They howled in pain as they collapsed, but nonetheless tried to hold the little one tight against their chest, sparring him from the ruthless fall. Despite their nasty injury, they crawled until they were hidden behind a wall of rocks. Then they curled around Rafael, shielding him with their body.

“Why… are you doing this?” he dared to ask after a moment, even if he still looked afraid.

::{You deserve… to live, little one,}:: they weakly beeped. An endless flow of Energon was gushing from their damaged leg, and several warnings popped up in their processor. They ignored them and continued to talk :

::{You… probably don’t remember me… I was the… the car your family ‘owned’ when you were younger… and was ‘stolen’ when you were three years old.}::

Rafael stared at them with flabbergasted eyes.

“That… That was YOU?!”

If they had a mouth, they would have smiled at his expression, but they could only nod.

::{Little one… used to sleep on my seat. Tried to speak in binary with me…}::

Their visor flickered. Rafael noticed it, then noticed the growing pool of Energon under the Vehicon’s waist.

“You’re hurt!”

The Vehicon gave a weak half-shrug.

::{Vehicons are hurt… and die every day. It doesn’t matter… We have no sparks… no designations… It doesn’t matter…}::

“Of course it does!” Rafael exclaimed. “Every living being has a right to live! Don’t move, I’m going to look for help!”

But he could not even make a step, for the Vehicon pinned him down with one servo. He protested and struggled, but he was not able to even move the huge limb.

::{Do not, little one,}:: the Vehicon said with a calm, comforting voice. ::{Do not endanger… yourself for someone like me. Stay here till… the battle is over… then go back to your friends…}::

“But…”

::{No buts.}::

Rafael pouted, but didn’t add anything. They stayed silent and still for a little while, the fury of the battle echoing not so far away, the Vehicon becoming weaker and weaker as time went by.

Then Raf hesitantly asked:

“So, you… you don’t have a name?”

The Vehicon shook their head.

“Then… Can I call you ‘Agathos’?”

::{…If you want to… But… Why?}:: they asked, curious – and a little bit flattered – that he wanted to give them a name.

“If… If what you said is true… Then it is thanks to you that I learned binary. And moreover, you saved me. You are a Decepticon, but you are a good person. ‘Agathos’ in Ancient Greek means goodness, kindness. I think it suits you very well.”

The Vehicon felt something throb in their chassis – a tingling sensation. Gratitude, maybe? They felt too dizzy to be sure.

::{Agathos… It sounds… nice…}::

No more shooting was heard. Had they been less weak, they would have heard footsteps coming closer and closer. Their visor kept flickering at a worrying rate.

::{Thank… you… li…ttle… one…}::

::{Rafael!}:: someone shouted.

Their visor shut down, and the world disappeared.

😭😭😭😭 Nnnnoooooo! Why you make me cry?!? But this was so good and I loved it! But Ratchet could still save him, right? If the Autobots knew? 😭

Please do not encourage me to do more or else I won’t be able to stop myself XD But moreover I think I should ask @primus-why for permission first. It is their headcanon after all. Primus, dear Lord, am I allowed to do so? (Oh and thank you for your words ^^)

ASDFGHJKL I DONT MIND AT ALL. GO FOR IT, MAKE US CRY SOME MORE 😭😭😭

We wish we had more time.

We wish we had got another chance.

But in the end, nothing is left to us. For we do not deserve existence, and what does not exist must return to the nothingness.

Primus, Father of all, forgive your children for having created the monsters we are. Forgive us for being the weakest of your spawn. Our kin is the first to go, yet we do not join you when our frame becomes devoid of life.

Primus, Father of all, forgive us for being scared. We who are lacking a spark cannot become one with all. We who are walking without light have nowhere to go.

We appear, we walk, then we disappear.

Primus, Father of all but us, forgive us for clutching to this life we did not ask for.

Give us one more day.

Give us another chance.

Primus, Father of all but us, we beg you to give us more time, before we go back to nothing.

Primus, dear Creator, please lend an ear to the nobodies’ plea.

O*O*O*O*O*O*O

Never before had Bumblebee seen Raf so distressed. The young boy was yelling for help, on the verge of tears, holding the much larger servo of a lifeless Vehicon.

“Save them! Please, they saved me, save them too, please!”

The Scout was taken aback by his friend’s words. How could a Vehicon produce such a reaction from the human? He was snapped out of his thoughts when Optimus Prime kneeled then gently took the drone in his arms. The words he pronounced surprised everyone.

“Ratchet, open the groundbridge.”

“Are you sure, Optimus?” Arcee asked. “It’s an enemy. A mere drone! Bringing it to the base could be dangerous.”

“But they protected me!” Raf exclaimed. “They got injured in the process, please, their visor went dark, I don’t want them to die!”

The groundbridge appeared.

“Then it is a risk I am willing to take. Arcee, Bulkhead, start collecting the energon from the mine. Bumblebee, Rafael, come with me.”

To say that the medic was less than thrilled was an understatement. Ratchet was irate, grumbling that the world really turned upside down if he was now supposed to fix a fragging Decepticon. But then Rafael explained the whole story, and he felt a bit less furious and more annoyed than anything.

“Rafael, stop being in my way,” the ambulance said, gently pushing the child aside.

“But…”

“The ‘Con is going to be fine, if this is what is concerning you. Now, the more space you will give me to work, the quicker it will heal.”

So the young boy was now sitting at the edge of one of the catwalks, forehead pressed against the railing, watching the medic from afar. Seeing his friend being so worried for a mere Vehicon, Bumblebee wanted to feel jealous… but he just could not. How dare he, to think so bad of a person who almost died in order to keep Rafael out of harm’s way? Moreover, a little part of him could not help but feel grateful that the Vehicon had had the kindness and the patience to teach the binary to Rafael – thanks to a Decepticon, the yellow bot was able to communicate with someone who had become one of his closest friends. How ironic…

Finally Ratchet stepped out of the medibay, wiping his hands in a rag.

“I replaced its missing leg with a prosthesis. It’s not the best I can do, with the few items available here, but at least it’ll be able to walk. However, it –”

“Stop calling them by ‘it’, Ratchet,” Raf raised his voice defensively, “they’re alive and they’ve got a name!”

The white and orange mech narrowed his optics.

“I would really appreciate if you would not interrupt me, kid.”

“You said they have a name?” Optimus asked, curious. Usually Vehicons did not have a designation…

“Actually it was me who gave it to them,” Raf confessed, “and they seemed to like it, so… I called them Agathos.”

“Agathos… It is a nice name.”

Ratchet reset his vocaliser, getting the attention of the two.

As I was saying, ‘they’ will be able to walk. But they’ve lost a lot of energon, so they will need a deep recharge in order to get some forces. I think they will wake up tomorrow at least, not before. However, there are other issues about bringing a Decepticon here…”

Optimus nodded.

“I know that you do not like this decision, old friend, and I understand. Yes, they might be a threat, but right now, they are helpless. Moreover, because they were healed here, if it reaches Megatron’s audios, it is highly probable that they will be considered as a traitor, and thus executed. For now the best we can do is waiting for them to wake up, and ask them what they intend to do next. If you fear that they might do something during the night, I will watch over them.”

Ratchet didn’t look convinced, but he sighed in defeat.

“Fine, Optimus. But tomorrow you will have to recharge or else I will chain you to your berth until you do so.”

A little amused smile stretched the Prime’s lips, and he agreed.

And so the night went by, with the leader of the Autobots sitting next to the medical berth where the Vehicon – Agathos – laid motionless. For precaution their blaster had been deactivated, but the rest of their frame had been left untouched.

Optimus thought it would be an uneventful night, but several hours later Agathos mumbled something in their sleep. The Prime hesitated, then began to listen.

It sounded like a prayer. But never had Optimus heard someone pray with such despair. The pessimistic and sad words made his spark clench. Was this “nobodies’ plea” a common thing among all the Vehicons? How could anyone think so low of themselves? He had never thought the Vehicons considered themselves unable to join the AllSpark. He had never thought the drones were conscious of their condition of disposable, or that they were so… so… resigned. They lived from day to day – it seemed to be the only thing they truly had.

Agathos’ frame began to shake lightly, as if they were remembering something painful in their recharge. Optimus saw it, but this time didn’t hesitate:  as gently as possible he took the Vehicon’s right servo in his own, softly stroking it with the other one. Agathos stirred in their sleep but did not wake up – they slowly stopped trembling instead, until their frame became peacefully still.

Optimus did not let go of their servo until the sunrise.

O*O*O*O*O*O*O*O

When the Vehicon came back online, it was, however, another affair. Without doubt, any Decepticon would be panicking if the first thing they saw when they woke up was the enemy leader standing right next to them – and panicked the drone was.

Optimus slowly raised his hands, showing that he had no bad intentions.

“Do not be afraid, Agathos. No harm will come to you.”

The Vehicon was not able to express emotions with their mask, but surprise could be heard in their voice:

“How… How do you know this designation?”

“Rafael asked us to call you by the name he gave you.”

“The little one!” Agathos exclaimed, forgetting for one moment where exactly they were. “Is he alright? Is he safe? Er – what am I doing here?” they asked hesitantly, remembering to whom they were speaking.

“Rafael is perfectly fine. In fact, it is thanks to him that you have been brought here to be healed.”

They glanced at the prosthesis, where their leg used to be. Then looked back at Optimus.

“I should ask you why you did this, but if it happened thanks to the little one, I suppose he and I are quits.”

There was a hint of sadness in their voice, and Optimus wondered why. Agathos respectfully bowed their head to him.

“Thank you, sir, for accepting his request, even if you did not have to.”

“We could not let you die while you had saved a life. It is I who should thank you, for watching over our friend.”

There was a moment of silence, then Agathos’ vocaliser made a sound of static. Optimus realised they were sobbing.

“What’s wrong?” he asked, worried.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, it’s just…” static masked all the words as Agathos hugged themselves. “Nobody has ever th-thanked me or one of my fellow Vehicons before. Any Decepticon would have left me r-rusting on the ground of the mine, because they – they only bring back to the Nemesis those who are still conscious. And – and you, you decided to do otherwise, you have acc-accepted the little one’s request, even – even if I am unworthy and I – I just – I’m sorry I can’t…”

Agathos continued to sob while they could not make sense of their words anymore, their whole frame shaking. They felt a comforting servo on their shoulder and did not reject it. Unconsciously they leaned into the touch, making Optimus’ spark clench again. Poor thing…

In the main room of the base, everyone had heard the Vehicon’s outburst, and they were silent, unsure of what to think. Then the sound of an engine came closer – Bumblebee had arrived, and when the kids, who had finished school, stepped out, they too heard the strange noises. Raf immediately headed toward the medibay, and he was relieved to see Agathos awake, but also worried to see them ‘crying’.

Then the Vehicon noticed him.

::{Little one…}:: they beeped, their voice strained but, for the first time since they had woken up, with a hint of happiness.

“Hey Agathos,” the boy said with a smile, climbing next to them then sitting on their servo.

There was a short but comfortable silence, one Optimus did not dare to disturb. Then Rafael asked:

“Are you going back to the Nemesis?”

Agathos tensed, their free servo clenching into a fist.

::{I-I-I am not sure I want to, but I am made to obey orders. I was brought online to serve Megatron, and nothing else. There is – there is nothing I can do about it, I have to follow my programming, I have to go back even if it means I will be off-offlined for helping you.}::

::{You could stay here.}::

Everyone turned their head towards the entrance of the medibay, where Bumblebee was standing. The young bot was looking at the Vehicon with gentle optics.

::{Optimus, can they stay here? They will be safe at the base.}::

::{Do not say such things, Scout!}:: Agathos exclaimed with a panicked voice. ::{I will be nothing but a burden.}::

“We will be the ones to decide about it,” Optimus said calmly. “And everyone will have a say.”

And so the Autobots were gathered in the main hall, discussing about the Vehicon’s fate. Optimus and Bumblebee wanted to give Agathos a chance. Bulkhead felt conflicted, for he had always believed that all the ‘Cons were bad folks, but Agathos’ distress had shaken his convictions. As for Arcee and Ratchet, they clearly expressed their disagreement – they would never trust a ‘Con to wander freely around the base.

“And you, Agathos? What is your opinion on the matter?” Rafael asked from a catwalk. His demand made the Autobots stop talking, and they all waited for the Vehicon’s answer.

They looked silently at the human, then sighed.

::{Please, little one, do not give me false hopes. Neither here nor among my faction I will be welcome. I am not worthy of your trust… But if you really think I am, then I will not betray it. I will behave. I will follow every order you or your friends will give me. I won’t go anywhere until I am allowed to. I will accept any treatment.}::

It hurt, to hear them talking about them like this. Even Ratchet and Arcee could not help but feel uncomfortable.

So the femme tool several steps forward to stand in front of them, fists on the hips.

“I don’t trust you,” she said firmly, “but Raf does. And I will never, ever treat you like the ‘Cons would. Screw this up, and I will demolish you. But if you remain true to your words, then I guess we can give it a try.”

“I agree with Arcee,” Bulkhead said, and Ratchet nodded in approval.

Something in Agathos’ chassis was singing – and their visor brightened.

“It is settled then,” Optimus declared, and he gave them a warm smile. “Welcome among us, Agathos.”

“Thank you,” they whispered, still having a hard time to believe that all of this was true. They turned their head to face Rafael, their visor a few centimeters away from his body. ::{Thank you, little one.}::

The young boy smiled, then leant forward and fondly hugged their helm in response.

*Hey @primus-why, I did it! The Vehicons are a bunch of depressed bots, Optimus is a soft dad and Raf got a new buddy. Also Agathos is non-binary. Who found the line from MTMTE? ;D*
