Disaster lineage part 2 (part 1, shatterpoint lineage, and penumbra lineage here)
Ngl I'm kind of laughing at the fact that Felony chose to show that the Jedi are the bad guys by *checks notes* having the character speaking against the Council work with Darth Sidious, the top bad guy of the movies, and kill an unarmed exhausted opponent.
Like wow that sure makes me want to believe everything he says. I'm sure the guy working with DARTH SIDIOUS and willing to kill an unarmed opponent with only the slightest prompting has the purest of intentions and is totally right about the Jedi being corrupt and doesn't have a skewed perspective at all.
get rekt boi (get rekt is also the official name of yodas cane now)

(i, eh, didn’t ask for permission. i hope that ok if not ill make it vanish)
Dooku left the Jedi Order shortly after Xanatos Fell and Qui-Gon declared he would never train another Padawan; he was already disillusioned with the increasingly blatant corruption in the Senate and the power they had over the Order’s actions across the galaxy, but losing the chance at Grandpadawans was the final straw
over a decade later, he was still bemoaning his late Padawan’s life choices, when he expressed his regret that Qui-Gon was no longer around to agree with him about the Senate’s corruption while attempting to interrogate the unfamiliar young Knight that the bounty hunter had lured to Geonosis
to his surprise, the formerly stony-faced Knight furiously laid into him, proclaiming that how his Master would never have sided against the Republic, and he most certainly would not have supported a militarized movement funded by corporations interested in escaping the Republic’s regulations like this
Dooku quickly retreated from the room
shit
he had a GRANDPADAWAN; Qui-Gon broke his vow and trained another after Dooku had given up hope and left the Order
shit
this changed things
he couldn’t wipe out the Jedi Order now, what about his grandson??
and then, half an hour into his frantic scramble to rearrange his plans to account for this new development, an even shoutier young man showed up loudly demanding to know where his Master was being held, and Dooku was faced with the realization that not only did he have a Grandpadawan, he also had a Great-Grandpadawan
this changed EVERYTHING
These tags are everything and the fact that Yoda’s just happy for his disaster lineage coming together 😂
Gotta do what a Yoda’s gotta do
So I have question for star wars fans who watched aotc
So when padme arrives on coruscant and is talking to the jedi about her assassination attempts - she mentions dooku is behind it. As in the one the jedi 'knew' was still one of the jedi who just left to be ex jedi with nothing wrong.
But then it turns out she is correct later and has started the separatists and a droid army that he hid for around 10 yrs along with a clone army popping up and the donor was somehow on dookus payroll as a last minute thing but count dooku is also a sith - most likely the apprentice.
So. Padme. What made you think it was ex jedi count dooku who was sending assassins at you. And why were you correct when the jedi didnt have any indication over 10 YEARS. a DECADE that nothing was wrong.
Suspicious.
AU where Dooku still leaves the Order but he’s not evil, and so Obi-Wan and Anakin and Ahsoka have this random crazy-rich old grandpa who swings by from his mansion every so often to have tea and discuss galactic events with Yoda and Mace, and also to chide his lineage about standing up straight and not slurping their soup.
This is especially hilarious given that I am 1000% sure Anakin and Ahsoka did stuff like having belching contests like, a lot, so I assume Snooty Grandpa showed up just as one was really getting going and somehow he was MOST disappointed in Obi-Wan for letting this happen.
Grandpa Dooku definitely has Obi-Wan as his favorite grandchild for years.
Obi-Wan likes tea, sits up straight, will talk about galactic events, and chide Anakin for doing wild and crazy things. Dooku is certain Obi-Wan is the perfect grandchild because he’s everything Dooku wants, not to mention Qui-Gon said all those good things about him!
Then one day Dooku walks in to see Anakin and Ahsoka having a loud belching contest while yeeting Rex and Obi-Wan riding a giant monster all around the room. The worst is that Obi-Wan doesn’t have proper posture AND HE IS NOT EVEN SITTING SIDE SADDLE! THE NERVE!
Dooku is extremely mortified and DISAPPOINTED YOUNG MAN!
However, Dooku doesn’t notice Cody in the background holding a fire extinguisher and preparing for the inevitable explosion.
Funny mental image for you: Jocasta finds out Dooku stole a bunch of holocrons on his way out of the Order when doing a stockcheck after learning Kamino was deleted. Gatecrashes the execution on Geonosis, accidentally stealing Mace's thunder when she goes for her old friend with fire and brimstone and Mace, very wisely, takes three large steps back to give her all the space she needs to tear a strip out of Dooku up one side and down the other about fucking with her archives. Lightsaber optional.
Oh wow, yes please.
Mace seeing jango with boba and dragging them away from the chaos. Yoda and clones arriving only for them to see jocasta with her lightsaber plus her lightsaber rifle.
All of those not jedi learning that she is the archivist/librarian.
That moment when you take things out of the library and then dont return them
I realize I’ve been a fool in not turning more Supernatural quotes into incorrect TCW quotes. A fool, I tell you.
Dooku: Jedi Lost by Cavan Scott | The Lost Twenty One of the most interesting things about this scene is just how there’s no recrimination on asking about who the busts are of, that Braylon is in a hurry to get to the lesson, but Yoda acknowledges that, no, it’s important that they know who these people are, who the people that left the Jedi Order are. And it’s equally important to show that, no, they did not all leave because they became Sith or whatever. Most of them just went on to live quiet lives, but some of them became things like teachers. That some of them questioned the Jedi way of life and this isn’t something they hide away or never talk about or keep secret. It’s something they tell their younglings when they ask, they’re honest about how it doesn’t make anyone a bad person to leave the Jedi Order if that’s what they feel is right. Over and over, we see in the comics and novels and even the movies that this holds true in the way the Jedi treat those who leave. Up until Dooku shows up as the head of the Separatist movement and stockpiling for a war, the Jedi defend him. Previous to that, when the Jedi Jak’zin runs into Dooku after he’s left, he treats him with respect and kindness, revealing that most Jedi thought that Dooku left to start his own school of Force teachings. It showed that they were clearly fine with this given that they weren’t keeping tabs on him enough to know that he wasn’t actually doing that. [x] Or when Tula’s grandmother left to get married, she said she had nothing but respect for the Jedi Order, indicating that it was a perfectly amicable split. Yoda says that Anakin can leave any time he wants, it’s clear that no one’s going to force him to stay. Ahsoka walks away and nobody tries to stop her, because it’s her choice. Not all Jedi are happy when they leave, of course, but we have enough indications of how the Jedi Order itself sees those leaving–that they’re sad to see them go, but none of this is a prison, nor will they do anything but talk respectfully of them, so long as they’re not Sith Lords who are murdering people and oppressing entire worlds. We see it right here–when asked about the Jedi Masters who left, there’s nothing but honesty there. They became disillusioned with the Jedi ways, but it’s not like that was the same as becoming evil. Most of them just went off to quiet lives and that was a choice the Jedi very much respected–and would do for anyone who chose to walk away. It’s not just lip service about how technically you can leave any time you want. No, even the younglings are told that it’s been done and are shown that it doesn’t make you bad, that some even go on to live lives of significance as leaders.
THIS IS ALL FASCINATING. This comic is probably some of the first real timeline stuff we have in regards to Dooku–that he left the Jedi before Qui-Gon’s death is now confirmed! We still don’t know when he met up with Sidious, when he commissioned Jango, etc., whether he left before Obi-Wan became Qui-Gon’s apprentice, etc. But we have a bit more of an idea of the timeline and we have some absolutely stellar stuff about how the Jedi saw Dooku! This fits with how the Jedi spoke of Dooku in Attack of the Clones before he turned up as the head of the group about to launch an army against the Republic–Ki-Adi-Mundi doesn’t think he could be behind the assassination attempt because he was a Jedi, Jocasta Nu speaks incredibly warmly of him and why she thinks he left. And we see here that Jak’zin approaches Dooku with civility and politeness, even admiration for what a great saber duelist he was, they speak of his admiration for Qui-Gon Jinn, who was also a great Jedi. Jak’zin trusts Dooku when revealing why he’s on Sullust, because, well, he was a Jedi once. This shows what utter trust the Jedi have in each other and how much they’re deeply respectful of anyone who leaves them to still be good people. Jak’zin takes care to use the proper title to address him, compliments him about his saber form, never makes any disparaging remarks about having left the Jedi, and instead seems completely fine with it. Trusts him to help on a secret mission even! Even beyond that we get a glimpse of what the other Jedi were speculating about Dooku:
I mean, first of all JEDI GOSSIPS CONFIRMED YET AGAIN, VALIDATION, but also they think he’s forming a new order of Force users! And the Jedi are apparently perfectly fine with that. Nobody’s come to ~talk~ to Dooku about it, Jak’zin gives zero indication that anyone should be talking to him about this or trying to stop him. Doesn’t even express any hesitation or nervousness about it. Which fits with how the Jedi have always been fine with other Force-using groups. The Guardians of the Whills, the Lasats, the Nightsisters, the Bardottans, all of them existed in the galaxy alongside the Jedi, often evolving in tandem. Their problem with the Sith has never been OMG DARKSIDERS!!!, but instead that they’re running around murdering and enslaving people, that the Sith isn’t a culture so much as a group of specific people undertaking a specific plot. If they just did their own thing and didn’t hurt anyone, we have every reason to think the Jedi would have co-existed with them, like do they all the other Force-using groups. The whole issue really illustrates how the Jedi trusted and admired each other, even when they walked unconventional paths or left all together. It reminds me of that quote from Heir to the Jedi where a Rodian relative of a Jedi tells about how their uncle Jedi used to visit sometimes and would talk really warmly about Anakin Skywalker. Here we see Jak’zin talking really warmly about Qui-Gon Jinn, how great he was. He admires Dooku and treats him as someone to trust, respects the new life he’s taken for himself. Fondly remembers the sparring he used to do with Master Yoda, but there’s nothing about how Dooku should have stayed a Jedi, if that was his choice. It reminds me of the Star Wars ongoing comic where Tula Markona’s grandmother said she had, “Nothing but respect for the Jedi Order.” even after leaving it. Dooku’s role in this issue is a lot more complicated, because so much of what we know about him is thrown into mystery, how much he’s being sincere–ultimately, he kills Jak’zin by shooting him in the back, kicking his corpse, and saying it was a “pity”, so did he genuinely feel any shred of wanting to recruit him to “save” another Jedi or was it just another tool to Dooku? Was anything he said about Qui-Gon and his own feelings of guilt true? That’s a complicated, thorny question that we’ll never fully untangle, because I doubt even Dooku himself knows, not if he’s at the point of willing to kill an innocent person and treat it like he’d just broken a minorly expensive vase, instead of a sentient person, but still probably thinks that he’s trying to ~save~ the galaxy. But the portrait we see of the Jedi here is incredibly clear–they were totally fine with Dooku’s choices up to this point, they still trusted him and thought he was a good person, and respected his new path in life. (Also, I’m still not over a tiger Jedi, though, I am DISAPPOINTED IN YOU, STAR WARS, that his name wasn’t Ynot Eht Regit, COME ON.)
Obi wan being sithnip with 212th being protective of him from Sith.
There were three things the 212thhad quickly learned when it came to their General.
One, he flirted with danger asnaturally as he could breath and was his own sass center.
Two, he was a magnet for trouble.
And three, he was a First Light karkingsithnip magnet.
Everywhere they went they usuallyencountered some form for Sith, ready to pounce and take away theirGeneral in some manner. Either because they wanted to keep him (seeDooku), kill him (see Grievous and Maul) or a bizarre mix of the two(see Ventress).
Or just hate fuck him. Which seemed toaligned with Ventress and might also include Maul if he had a damnlower body.
One thing was for sure though, all ofthem wanted to capture the Jedi and it had become a bizarre hunt ofsome egg hunt almost.
“Alright, quiet down! We got anyshiny’s today?” Trapper asked cheerfully while Cody held up twofingers. “Oh two? Good good, then we get to go through theinitiation.”
“Initiation?” One of themwhispered.
“Yup!” Trapper pulled up four holoimages. “These are the Sith we usually fight, I’m sure everyoneknows this.”
A chorus of yes, a few boos and onethrown glove at the image of Dooku.
“Yes yes yes, but this is for theshiny’s benefits. Now, this is Yan Dooku, the Count of Serenno anda general bastard though we normally don’t see him. Now everythingyou’ve been taught about him keep that in mind but this walkthrough is because our General is Sithnip.”
“…Sithnip?”
Trapper clapped his hands together.“Yes! Sithnip. As in Sith are drawn to him like fucking cats tonip. And Yan Dooku is the safest one when it comes to General Kenobias he doesn’t want him dead normally and just abducted totake…somewhere. But like I said, he’s generally not around sincehe tries to lead the army from afar if he can or through hishenchmen.” Trapper turned to the next one.
“Now this sons of metal bitch isGeneral Grievous. He just wants to murder. Shoot on sight if theGeneral is near to distract said son of a metal bitch, if the Generalis out, grab the General and run. Or do what Waxer did and explode acan of paint on him and THEN grab the General.”
There was some scattering of laughter.
“Oi, its a viable plan, he wasdistracted!” Waxer grinned.
“Yeah yeah you bitch.” Trappersniggered before turning to the third one. “This is Maul. If he hada lower body he would most likely want to hate fuck our General andthen kill him. Or kill him and then hate fuck him.”
“Ugh, the images.” Cody grumbledand rubbed his face. “He’s dangerous and if he’s on planet, stick to the General as glue, he tends to try and confront him aloneand each time has lead to our General coming back wounded.” Headded for Trapper’s benefit.
General hisses and booing happened andthis time a boot got thrown at the holograms.
“…Someone is going to be missingarmor by the end of this.” Trapper peered down at the boot beforeswitching to the last one. “This is Asajj Ventress, apprentice toDooku and general all over bitch who both has the parts and will tohate fuck our General. And then deliver him to her master or kill himall depending on the general mood that day.” Trapper rolled hisshoulders. “She’s fond of choking people with the Force. Shot herdown if you can and don’t spare the ammo, you got her in yoursight? You fire and you don’t stop until your blaster is empty.Because unlike the others she can be hit if she’s distracted by theGeneral. She’s very goal oriented and if the goal is to drag Kenobiaway she will but it can be at the expense at her own safety.”
“Well at least that’s useful.”
“What about if General Skywalker ison field too?” The second shiny questioned. Everyone knew thesaying, where there was a Kenobi there was a Skywalker.
“If the 501st is with usand General Skywalker is on field, you stay the kark out of his wayand let him deal with the Sith since he’s better equipped to it andfocus on getting our General out of the way if he’s passed out. Oryou provide backup fire. The thing is however as the war hasprogressed, the General has steadily been dropping the armor he usedto wear as he used to wear a full set before so pay close attentionto his position at all times.” Trapper hummed before freezing, staring at the back of the tent.
“This is utterly fascinating, I hadno idea you actually went through a briefing of this.” GeneralKenobi drawled, a cup of tea in hand.
Cody stared at the man in horror.
“Sithnip? Really? I need to tellAnakin about that…” The Jedi hummed and took a slow sip of tea.
Place where I got the phrase ‘sithnip’. Please read this, it may be ‘short’ as it is new but really good.
Clone wars au
So I was thinking about how the chips are in clones. Thus would not be sifo dyas's idea bc while he did order the clones based on a vision, he wouldn't give an order about killing jedi, along with taking away free will and turning them into droids. It would defeat the purpose of clones in the first place. No, the only reason it happened was bc palps inserted dooku and overtook the clone army before everything. Well... What if sifo did not tell dooku who did not tell palps. This means that if they did get jango cert to be the template, the clones wouldn't have chips. Dooku also wouldn't know about jango fett who would lead obi wan to geonosis. In fact, the seppies would be surprised at the clone army and the republic at the droid army. Some other stuff but add on if there are things that would not happen bc dooku and palps don't know about the clone army.
AND THEN HE BECAME AN EVEN BIGGER DISAPPOINTMENT THAN DOOKU OR XANATOS.
also i’m pretty sure Qui-Gon is losing his shit in the afterlife over the fact that Obi-Wan has managed to “befriend” a pirate that keeps showing up at inopportune times
I just imagined padawan obi wan in the clone wars meeting his older selfs enemies, but when meeting Hondo he just is 'i found another pathetic life form?! Master is rubbing off on me' sort of thing and when he also does some of the mission like things like in Jedi apprentice his enemies get freaked out bc this kid is sass, and also really bad with his own life.
So what next but the Jedi and clones find that the enemies are trying to put padawan obi wan in a safe bubble where no one or himself can hurt him. Because he gets hurt a lot.
Also his master is pissing them off bc here is one willing to do everything and is literally the most Jedi ever even as a kid but manages to escape and do things they approve. How was he nominated most Jedi ever?
But dooku is his grandmaster that taught his master so he is partly to blame bc qui gon had to get it somewhere who passed it to obi wan. "What the council doesn't know can't hurt them"
Fives goes to Obi wan about the chips
You know what, when he found out about the chips he should have just gone to the one who found them, Obi wan Kenobi. Obi wan is one of the jedi he knows, has dealt with Anakin Skywalkers shit so well that the council and others don’t bother him, and will most likely know about this as he is on the council. There is also the bonus that he is on the field with his brothers so he knows Fives won’t do anything stupid about his brothers.
Fives was most likely panicked when he found about the chips and just needs to calm down so they can listen. Thankfully there is a fic called Fives saves the galaxy on ao3, nearly completed at this time but deals with him finding out via time travel.
Shaak Ti also confronts him with brothers and a Kaminoan in canon star wars the clone wars, but she should be calm and kick the kaminoan out to talk with Fives, and questioning the Kaminoan. Because Syfo Dyas was dead by that time and the council knows that Dooku was the one to do so, so this is a big red warning.
Shaak Ti upon finding that Syfo Dyas put the chips in them immediately tells the kaminoan to take them out NOW, because they have told them time after time that Count Dooku came disguised as Syfo Dyas and shouldn’t they have told them about the chips?
Fives being more calm saves the galaxy by also giving a huge message to the entire station with the kaminaon and jedi feedback.
Mortis
Obi wan had to watch Anakin and Ahsoka go dark or Sith. He has had his master killed by the sith, his grandmaster is now a Sith. He has had to deal with his lineage being a Sith or killed by one while remembering it, as Ahsoka and Anakin do not remember being one themselves. Anakin was lucky to not remember, but later when he does become one obi wan has to deal with it again, except its permantent.
So here is another piece of evidence that Windu and Yoda tried to get Anakin and tell him the truth about Hardeen aka Obi wan.
Once again this is about the fic (really need to find it so I can site it) where anakin decides to go after Hardeen with the 501st and Ahsoka after his escape from prison. There Obi wan is shot in the throat and asks why they shot him, as Anakin was supposed to get the truth from the council. It is left open ended that the council failed on that, but here IN THE EPISODE, that Windu has been trying to contact him for a while, and his last bet was Captain Rex, but who comes in but Chancellor Palpatine, aka the guy that told Anakin to go after Hardeen.
When it all comes out, it should be in front of live holonet, as the jedi took this risky mission all because Dooku was planning something for Palpatine in a parade, which HE would not stop from going and was the whole reason why they started. Obi wan had to fake his death, change into a bounty hunter to get close to Moralo Eval, so he could lead him to Dooku, so he would reveal his plans about hurting the Chancellor.
The same chancellor then told Anakin to go after Hardeen even though the jedi said they had it covered, which lead to Anakin and the 501st hurting Obi wan for real, and blowing all of Obi wan’s efforts and get Dooku. The council would tell Anakin but he was off because the chancellor gave him permission to go after Hardeen.
If the chancellor can’t trust the jedi to protect him from something he would still go to, why should the jedi trust the chancellor who went behind their backs and stole their knight and padawan for something that he started and the whole reason behind the mess.
