That scene in the van, when they’re dying, I was like, “I’m gonna write the death scene. If I half-ass this death scene, [the audience] won’t believe it. They have to believe this is how I would send them off. And so that scene is if I were going to kill everybody, that’s how they’d die, holding each others hands. And I’m actually tearing up.

#i’ll never be over it #i actually think a lot about that scene because it’s emotionally REAL AS FUCK #but in hindsight it’s both hilarious and amazingly good characterization (LIKE ALWAYS I LOVE YOU JOHN ROGERS YOU ARE MY ONE TRUE SHOWRUNNER) #because hardison dies because PARKER DROPS HIM? PLEASE. #eliot dies because of lack of situational awareness/failure to neutralize a guy with a gun? PLEEEEEEEEEEASE. #like you can tell they were dying with laughter coming up with this shit #except whoops it’s not funny to think about parker dying #(except to parker who comes up with increasingly bizarre scenarios) #so the best nate can come up with #is that she looks down at her boys dead with their hands clutched tight together #and just nopes the fuck out of this mortal realm #like yeah she’s hurt but the location of that shot is basically tv-speak for Not Fatal #she pretty clearly just DECIDES which is beautiful 2 me #and then nate and sophie! #sophie enjoys the romantic thelma and louise fantasy and nate enjoys that she enjoys it #but death is not romantic to nate #there is NO SCENARIO in which he would ever passively or actively cooperate with or contribute to sophie’s death #and just between you and me i think that’s when sterling knows for sure #when nate says he drove sophie off that bridge #HMMMMM sterling says to himself as he listens in #HMMMMM THAT SMELLS LIKE B U L L S H I T (via itoldmanymanypeople)
