👻 Happy Halloween!!! 🎃

It's honestly crazy that all this time has passed, but it's been 13 years since I created Vincent so I thought I'd make a pic to celebrate!!!

Only had time to get in a few easter eggs, but let me know if you spot them!

Drew my OC Vincent in a bit of a different style for this. This also happens to be his 10 year anniversary boo-lieve it or not! 0__0 Where on Earth has the time gone??? Always a treat getting to draw him though. Hope everyone has a very fun, safe and happy Halloween!!!

Decided to draw my OC Vincent in a homage to old Vanitas paintings.... no not the Kingdom Hearts character but the actual genre of still life painting, even though this isn't a painting. It was lots of fun drawing the skull for this piece and really happy with the pic overall, particularly the background elements (even though they're distorted when looking through Vincent). Happy Halloween!!!     I realize this year is crazy and the way people celebrate the holiday is probably a lot different this year, but hope everyone is having a great Halloween all the same even if it's at home! It's yet again that time of year to draw my OC Vincent! Thought it would be fun for him to hang around with some Boos! Feel like they'd get along quite well! hahaha Had a lot of fun with this one in exploring the Van Gogh style of Painted Swampland. Always thought that level was so unique!

Feel like I neglect my OCs a lot and from the inspiration decided to draw Vincent being creepy. XD Decided to experiment a lot with shading/ style and effects on this one too! Would be cool trying to do something like this again!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!

This year finally got around to making a Halloween piece EARLY! LMAO As per tradition, drew one of my ghost OCs for the occasion! In this instance, drew Ryu who was a victim of the samurai wars! Really wanted to practice motion for this piece and wanted to do that sort of idea in anime where a sword wielder attacks something and you see it slice apart in the background. You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find ref of that even though it's an anime staple so had to heavily reference some Zoro art!

Actually for this year's pumpkin at home, ended up carving basically the same one in the pic! XD Always wanted to learn how to make it look proper when a ghost bends the light and I've toyed with displacement maps in the past but never got them to function properly. Finally figured out how they're meant to work and man, I LOVE the effect it gives to the pic! Gives it a certain three dimensionality!

It's been YEARS since I last drew Ryu so I was pretty excited to take a stab at him again! Always knew he'd be a duel sword wielder and in this case, he's wileding the twin blades Suraisukatta and Buredoejji respectively! Definitely also want to thank @shrimposaurus and @thedamnthinguy for critiquing the musculature!

For day 23 of #nktober Decided to draw @drunk-nfist‘s OC Gunther Summons. Definitely find their style super inspiring! Just wish I had the colour palette to do the character justice. XD

This was a collab between the awesome @webbyghost and I! It’s a pic of both our ghost OCs, Webby and Vincent respectively! :D She did the amazing lines while I did the colours and the background. :) This collab also makes me realize I need to draw my OCs more. LMAO

Not only is Webby an awesome character, she’s the star of her own webcomic! :D Please go read @stories-of-the-subworld It’s an awesome comic! :D

Collabing on this pic was so much fun!!! I hope we get to do it again! :D 

Well it's a day late, and super simple, but here's to wishing everyone a belated Valentine's Day (or in my case, singles awareness day lol)! Wanted to make a bunch of these with all my OCs, but ultimately only had time to draw Vincent. Tried to make this Valentine as cheesey as possible! LOL The cheesier, the better! XD Even referenced old Sonic hte Hedgehog Valentine cards with this. hahah Anyways, hope everyone gets a cheap giggle out of this! LOL

I've procrastinated so much this last month! XD This was actually meant to be a Halloween pic, but I'm litterally submitting this a month later! XD Happy Belated Halloween! LMAO Anyways for those who don't know, this is my OC, Vincent, he's quite dead. XD It's been a tradition to draw him every year at Halloween, but I was definitely swamped around that time a month ago! It was nice to draw an OC again for once though, it's definitely been a while. Tried to draw him a little differently. Not that I'd say this is official ref for him or anythin, but tried to be ever slightly more realistic, especially with the face, the "skin" and the anatomy. Just wish I could do hands better! XD Wanted to draw a more complex background, but this just took forever... even wanted to paint in a "poe" like lamp, but I also wanted to make sure this got submitted today.

Well this pic is totally dedicated to my friend @promsien who always inspires me to draw Danny! Because of her, I actually want to draw him quite often... but I never seem to get around to it. XD Anyways I had a lof of fun on this pic and I love how it turned out! I think I may have imporoved from the last time I drew Danny as well!

This time around when I drew him, I took a lot of inspiration of @phantomtype's interpretation of Danny! Both them and PM serve as big influences to me! You may be asking why on Earth is his face blue? I thought it would be more ghost like if his skin was a different colour. That and colouring his face skin coloured in this style just looks really odd for some reason. XD Guess in this sense, it's my own personal interpretation of Danny. Originally wanted to draw a full out ghost for him to capture, but it took away from Danny, so instead I drew the tiniest ghost ever, inner Skulker! XD Wanted to make the background more complex too, but I do like how it turned out.

                                                                                                                      Alright, so around the time of my birthday, ryunk, promsien and I decided to do a 10 day sketch challenge!  We looked through a few lists but ultimately decided on doing the monster boy challenge which you can see here: skiesalight.tumblr.com/post/11… We alternated between random and choice throughout the list. I'll be the first to tell you that I procrastinated A LOT on this list! LOL A lot of times I would get the sketches done in chunks. XD Anyways here's the listings: Day 1: For "merman" I decided to draw my OC Jet who you can see here: Digital Media > Drawings"> I actually messed up some of his proportions, but I do like the sketch. Day 2: Had a real hard time deciding on what to do for this challenge. Eventually, I ended up with something similar to Jack the ripper or Mr. Hyde. Day 3: I actually couldn't come up with an idea for multiple limbs, but I happened to be sketching Ursula at the time (Once Upon A Time has been inspiring me lately) and she has multiple limbs... so I thought "why not"? LOL Now before you say I cheated with the theme being monster boys... part of Ursula's design is based on drag... sooooo.. LMAO Also, lazy coloured preview colours FTW! LOL Day 4: I think this is my favourite design from the whole challenge! I had a lot of fun thinking of ways to design this character using a plant theme. Wanted to try drawing characters at various ages too and not just fall into the category of monster boy=monster teenager. I think I was inspired by Nee from Blue Exorcist and the plant people from Thundercats 2011 in this case. Day 5: At first I was going to draw one of my ghost OCs, which would have saved a lot more time, but I had a rough sketch of this design laying around and I wanted to polish it up. I really like the design, might make an OC out of him. Day 6: I actually had no idea what a satyr was until PM and Vic told me. XD Wanted to try drawing someone old to give some age diversity to this challenge. Also played with head shapes on this one. He's a wise old goat! LMAO Day 7: Really was at a loss with what to do for this one, so I basically did an "inumimi" in a pose a dog would have. LOL You can definitely see OUAT inspiring me in this one too because one of the villains this season is Cruella De Vil. XD Just realizing now he should have been named Spot. LOL Day 8: Had a hard time choosing what to do for this one. There are so many interesting Yokai out there, but I ultimately decided to make a Karasu Tengu. Attempted to go for a sort of painted scroll kind of look. Day 9: Okay so in the challenge this theme was called "Octobutler". Is that what octo hybrids are called? I thought they were named cecaelia. Did the person litterally mean an octo hybrid as a butler? lol At any rate, just did a plain octo hybrid. His design is mostly based on a Vampire Squid (those things are the stuff of nightmares). I say mostly based because his tentacles are more octopus like in shape and the fact that the connecting membrane is much higher up on the tentacles. If you're curious, this is what a vampire squid looks like: www.runtogold.com/images/vampi… Day 10: I knew I wanted to try drawing a baby for cyclops, but wasn't sure if I was going to do the traditional sort of cyclops. Thought an android cyclops would be creative. Had lots of fun doing this challenge! Hope I get to do another again some time! Also, here's the comment question: Would you like to see any of these designs turned into an OC?
