I’m seeing NOTHING about this online, so someone please explain to me how the ever-loving hell the colonizing, girl-hating, jealous monster in the Ember in the Ashes series is such a fan favorite?
Because she's the generic token white girlboss in a cast that's majority consisted of POC, who's not like other girls and is sooooo special that she comes from a family line where women get the "honor" to fight in the army 🙄

So a few weeks ago someone asked me if I would consider doing another Laia and Elias from the Ember in the Ashes series by Sabaa Tahir since the last book was coming out soon. At first I didn’t thought about it but around this week the idea popped into my head. So in my spare times I started doing this illustration and I’m really happy that I could finish it before the book release. So to create more hype, here you have this couple illustration. Hope you like it as much as me! 🔥🔥🧡🧡 I’m still learning how to do this kind of lighting
