I just found out American Gods got cancelled and bruh wtf

It's understandable to see why. From all the trouble bts to firing key actors to a lack of direction in writing personal opinion, but I think that the show definitely would've benefitted from having historians or even sociologists on board. Still, I was hoping that American Gods can at least wrap their story up after so many dead ends. But now the cast and fans have to hang out for the news that maybe, maybe getting a TV movie that wraps everything up? Now that's just unfair.

Season 1 was brilliant. Season 2 relied too much on exposition. I've only watched part of season 3 but the bts issues turned me away halfway through. This show had so much promise, especially since the book have so many good ideas that can be expanded.

And then Sweeney was trying, with both hands, to explain the history of the gods in Ireland, wave after wave of them as they came in from Gaul and from Spain and from every damn place, each wave of them transforming the last gods into trolls and fairies and every damn creature until Holy Mother Church herself arrived and every god in Ireland was transformed into a fairy or a saint or a dead king without so much as a by-your-leave…
