Pottermore aro/ace spectrum crests {3/?}
Gray-sexual (Gray-A) pottermore house crests for each of the houses! I decided to make a set for each aromantic and asexual spectrum identity. I will post others as I finish them.

My favourite thing in the hp universe is modifying house attitudes and stereotypes into more fitting for everyday stuff
Gryffindors don’t have to throw themselves into literal battles to prove bravery, they can be brave by admitting they were wrong
Ravenclaws don’t have to dig common knowledge in order to fit in, they can spend their entire days trying to memorize all Pokemon and their evolutions
Hufflepuffs don’t have to stick to people that are bad for their mental health, they can be loyal to themselves and get rid of toxic friends
Slytherins don’t have to hate ethnic and sexual minorities and muggleborns to be traditional, they can just be really obsessed with always tying the left shoe first
Aromantic asexual Sirius supporting his biromantic asexual godson?
Hey, Sirius -
Is it… When do people usually start having crushes? Sometimes I feel like everyone has them but me, but then other times I feel like I might have crushes. They’re just… different than everyone else’s.
Harry
.
Dear, Harry -
I always imagined it was Lily who would have this talk with you. James was right shite at articulating this kind of thing, to quote Remus.
Kid, if you’re old enough to ask when other people start having crushes, then it’s probably because your peers are having crushes. I don’t really know from what you described to me, and I don’t know what that awful sister of Lily’s and her husband told you, but there’s more choices than just straight, Harry.
Your mum, she was bi. That means she could have crushes on multiple genders - like your dad, who was mostly a boy but not all the way a boy (Remus called it demiboy, but James preferred “part”y boy, for obvious reasons). Remus, he’s gay - well, homoflexible but he mostly just went by gay or sometimes gayflexi, means he usually only likes other men. I’m aromantic and asexual, meaning I like no one.
Would love to write more but have to conserve scroll, as I’m running low on supply. Maybe send me more? Or talk to that clever bookworm friend of yours. She probably knows where to find more information on this. Love ya, kid.
Sirius
.
Hello, Harry?
Been a while. Got your extra scroll - thanks! No note, though. Did the owl you send eat it? He did seem awfully hungry.
Sirius
.
Bloody hell, Sirius.
I think I’m a biromantic asexual. Everything’s okay. Been trying to process. Dammit. I think I might love both of my best friends.
Harry
P.S. Yeah, the bird probably did eat my note. Accidentally spilled some breakfast on the parchment I was writing on. Thought it’d be okay but guess it was too much to resist.
.
Congrats, Harry!
Your parents would be so proud of you for realizing you’re bi ace and being able to accept it. And welcome to the club! On the ace front from me, being bi from your mum, and loving all your friends from James’. He had crushes on all of us. He, Remus, and Lily actually all dated for a while. War mucked things up. They all still loved each other, though, of course.
Love, Sirius
.
Sirius?
Thanks.
Love, Harry
.
Anytime, Harry. Anytime.
Sirius

in honour of asexual awareness week, i wanna give a shoutout to charlie weasley, the perfect ace dragonboy
Aplatonic Aromantic Asexual Merlin that's the first wix to ever speak out about sexuality and who gets shot down until people realise that he's a bloody good wix and perhaps they should listen to him. Merlin that paves the way for mogai wixen by showing that not being cis het het doesn't mean you aren't good enough - Ravenclaw
I’m so attached to Merlin headcanons in the HP-verse. I could probably write about him forever (and in that vein, I’m sorry this isn’t longer - I might come back to add on to it later). :D
~
Apl aro ace Merlin whose first love is magic. His second is activism and helping those who need protection and/or acceptance.
He spends basically all his free time practicing his magic and even coming up with new spells and potions. The rest of his time is dedicated towards things such as the protection of muggles, which a lot of wixen seem to have quite irrational hatred of.
Merlin doesn’t try to build a name for himself. That just happens naturally due to his dedication and hard work. It makes his activism easier when he notices people start to really listen to him and ask to learn from him. He steps his game up and publicly comes out, not only spreading awareness of different sexualities but also acceptance.
Merlin is a role model in his time and for many centuries afterwards. He’s also an inspiration. His success is touted for years, as marginalized wix who had been making themselves smaller to avoid notice, suddenly made themselves bigger and worked hard for their own good, rather than holding back for the perceived good of others.

For the dragon anon: the Harry potter books suggest that being a dragon trainer is implicitly linked to being ace. They say things like 'I'm not getting married, I'm a dragon trainer' (paraphrase). It's really fun. Plus mythology suggests that dragons are Asexual as well, like some other reptiles and amphibians today.
Hey anon,
Thanks so much, I actually didn’t know that and honestly I’m always open to learning more about Harry Potter or dragons. ^.^
Also, thanks to @walking-fandom-encyclopaedia for this addition on the original ask:
