Working on editing the prologue for my longfic… about 10,000 words in.
Going to cut this but it’s so fun lol
Part of me: this is a serious fic. It’s angsty and the characters are often sad. No comedy.
The other part of me: what if Link throws a barrel just to see if it’s fun?
The first part: okay but he has to be disappointed because he finds out it isn’t.

Working on the first part of my longfic where speedrunner Link goes to fight Ganon. He’s at the castle but the problem is that I now have to write him fighting his way up to the sanctum. Which sucks because I hate writing fight scenes 🥲 but it also feels like a cop out to skip to when he’s fighting the blights and Ganon :/
I either have to write him fighting his way up, skip to when he’s at the sanctum, or figure out a different way for him to get there. I already have a couple of things that aren’t canon (small stuff, like a wizrobe placed where there isn’t one in-game) so I don’t want to do anything super undoable in game that breaks the immersion.
Ugh. It’s a conundrum, really :/

Why not take advantage of the slate? Simplest solution would be something like doing a bit of rough calculating and yeeting himself there on a log from outside the castle. (Or glitch through a wall, etc)

Betrayal! Link Gets Grounded by His Own Girlfriend 😔👊 is the temporary, joking name for an angsty, pre-calamity, hurt/comfort fic! In it, Link and Zelda get attacked by a large swarm of monsters and instead of running, Link insists on killing them all. He gets hurt while doing a reckless move, and while patching him up after, Zelda tells him he’s grounded from doing unnecessarily dangerous things.
He says something like ‘when I die, another hero will replace me, so it’s fine for me to be reckless’ and Zelda realizes he thinks he’s disposable. Cue the angst.

I’m writing this smut where Zelda and Link role play that he’s a Yiga Spy she’s captured. The plot goes, she interrogates him, she slaps him around a little, then they have sex. But when Zelda is like ‘okay prisoner, now we’re going to fuck’ he gasps and says ‘that’s so immoral!’ and it’s cracking me up
