I’d love for in the last season of Brooklyn 99 for Holt to become commissioner and mostly disband the police (focusing more of the NYPD’s budget on social workers, mental health workers, etc.) but of the few police officers left Amy becomes the captain and the last scene is a mirror of the first episode.
Amy is sitting in her office and someone has just finished briefing her on her new squad. She says she knows only a few cops are left so the remaining ones are good, but she wants to make them the best in New York. The person who was briefing her asks where they should start.
The camera cuts to someone (not wearing a tie) dancing around the desk of Gary (aka the new Amy) in a vaguely annoying way as Gary rolls his eyes. We hear Amy say, “We start with him/her/them.”
