...casually inserts my HC that at any point in any lifetime where Link and Zelda aren't romantically involved, if someone flirts with Link - even if she 'hates' him or has her own other love interest - Zelda gets irrationally mad and jealous and can't figure out why. And it's because part of her that is still Hylia is acting like a 3yo with their favorite toy, and just because I'm not playing with it right now doesn't mean you're allowed to even touch it! Because no matter what, Link is Hylia's Chosen Hero, he is Zelda's. He may also be Farore's Holder of the Triforce of Courage. And he may be the Champion anointed by the Sacred Sword. (Both of which also come with some interesting ordeals) But first and foremost, he is HER Hero. HERS. Not anyone else's.
