Once I was auditioning for this short film and on my cover letter I wrote (truthfully): “I saw the tumblr writing prompt this film is based off of. I think I wrote a Solangelo fanfic of it when I was 14. It was poorly written but that’s what happens when you’re writing fanfiction at 14. All this to say, I am very interested in your project. Trying to write an angsty little fic where Link finds a poe and thinks it’s his soul from before the calamity and I JUST CANT MAKE IT ANGSTY ENOUGH ARGH 😢

The backstory: I have a fic WIP that I’ve had in my drafts for almost a year now. It’s a cute hurt/comfort fic where Link and Zelda visit Zora’s Domain. Link can’t sleep so he wanders around and finds Sidon by Mipha’s statue. They mourn together and comfort each other.

The problem: The whole already-written part is based on the idea that Mipha and Link were dating pre-Calamity. At the time, it was my headcanon. But now I headcanon that Link was in love with Zelda before the Calamity.

So now I either have to write it against my current headcanon (which I’ll probably end up doing) or start over 🥲

I don’t wanna write rn but I want to connect with the characters in a way I can only do through writing ughhhhhhh why can’t I magically have already written the fic and just be able to read it and not know what’s going to happen next but everyone is written exactly the way I write and perceive them 😭

It should be illegal to read a fic all the way through and then not leave kudos. When I’m the president I’ll make it a law that if you read a fic the whole way you have to leave a kudos and if you don’t you go to jail for a million years

Like I don’t care that they didn’t like it (everyone has different tastes and all that) but why do they have a whole list of fics they saved due to hatred?? It’s so funny to me??? Like, they saved it to look at later??? A+ hater shit, I respect it
