Hi gorgeous! I hope you are taking requests. Can you maybe write a blurb about Tom forgetting the readers birthday? If not, that okay. Love you!
Hi love! I love you! I hope you enjoy it!
You had been waiting for it all day long, and now it was nearing the end of the day and yet he hadn’t said anything to you. You didn’t want to believe that he’d forgotten, but when he went to bed with barely a kiss, you knew it had to be true. Tom had forgotten your birthday.
The next morning, you were, understandably upset. You didn’t say anything to him when he woke up, and you didn’t kiss him goodbye as your left your shared flat to go for a run. He didn’t stop you as you exited through the front door, but you could see the confusion on his face. He’d sent you a text or two trying to figure out if you were okay, which you ignored.
7:50 - Hey baby, are you okay? You left kinda quick this morning??
8:15 - When do you think you’ll be home? I want to make you breakfast.
8:36 - Okay, why aren’t you talking to me? At least let me know you’re safe…
Finally, by almost nine, you returned to the flat, heading straight into the shower without a word to Tom, rolling your eyes as he raised his eyebrows expectantly at you. The warm water felt great over your sore muscles, so you stayed in the shower a little longer than you probably should have, finding Tom in the kitchen where his arms were folded tightly over his broad chest, jaw clenched in irritation at you now.
“Alright, you want to tell me what’s going on?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You growled with a shrug, drying your hair off on a towel.
“Oh don’t start that shit with me, Y/N. You didn’t say anything to me before you left, you didn’t text me while you were gone, and you didn’t even acknowledge me when you came home. You only do that when you’re mad at me and I’ve been here all morning trying to figure out what the hell I could have done to make you angry and I’ve come up with nothing, so would you please fill in the blanks for me?”
“It’s nothing Tom, just forget it.” You turned, about to make a break for the bedroom when you felt his fingers curl around your wrist.
“It’s obviously not nothing, Y/N. So, spit it out. I had a romantic day planned for you, and it’s going to be kind of hard to do that when you’re acting like this.”
“You forgot my fucking birthday, Tom!” You shouted, throwing your arms up in anger that you had to spell it out for him, trying to turn away from him again just to do a full 360 and face him once more.
“What are you talking about?” He asked, eyebrows knitting together.
“My birthday, Tom! The day of my birth! The one day a year that you’re supposed to pay attention to me and you MISSED it! You had all day yesterday to say anything to me, and you DIDN’T!”
“Darling…yesterday wasn’t your birthday.” He shook his head at you.
“What are you talking about?! I think I would remember my own birthday, Tom! It was yesterday!”
“No,” He drug out the vowel, reaching into his pocket and pulling out his phone and opening the calendar app. “Y/N, your birthday is TODAY.” You looked at the screen, eyes nearly bugging out of your head when you realized he was right. You’d given him hell all day long for absolutely no reason at all. Guilt settled uncomfortably in you as you slowly handed his phone back to him.
“Tommy, I’m so, so sorry.”
“Oh, it’s Tommy now, is it?” He teased, placing his hands on your hips and pulling you closer to him, brushing his lips against yours. “Happy birthday, love.” He whispered against your mouth before pulling you into a deep kiss, slipping his tongue between your lips for a second before pulling away. “Now, can I spoil my girl on her special day? Or are you going to keep giving me this ‘tude?”
“Yes, Tommy. Thank you.” You whispered, pulling him into another kiss, knowing that tomorrow, you’d probably pay for your attitude, but today would be all about you.
I took a different twist on it, I hope you liked it!
