God damn those ice-blue eyes. They focused so intently on you. Almost as if you were the only girl in the entire world, as if he would ever actually believe that. His gaze, intense as it was, made your skin feel warm, prickly and you couldn’t help but fantasize about a certain hunger resting in them.
Harrison had a reputation, and it wasn’t a good one to say the least. He was well known for sleeping with whoever he wanted, most girls barely putting up a fight on account of how unfairly attractive he was. But you refused to be another one of his conquests. You’d been hurt before, and no matter how much your heart thudded pathetically in your chest for him, you refused to give in. But, that didn’t mean that he didn’t try. Holy shit did he freaking try.
You were still trying to repress how he’d found out where you were in the first place. You were at the park, getting some thinking done and there he was, sitting on the bench beside you as if it weren’t completely fucking creepy that he knew where you were in the first place. But, he’d merely smiled, insisting on keeping you company then demanding that you let him walk you home. Reluctantly, with plenty of arguing, you let him.
“Okay, Osterfield,” You sighed upon reaching your apartment, finally feeling the courage to face him and speak your mind. “what’s your play here?”
“I know you. I know your reputation. Whatever you want from me, you can’t have it.”
“Now that hurts. Why don’t you ever even give me a chance, hmm? You just assume you know the full story because of what people say about me?”
“Then what’s the full story?” You asked quietly, feeling a little guilty.
“I’ve liked you for a long, long time, Y/N. But you have never given me the time of day. And I’ve tried to move on, but the truth is...there is no one like you.”
You couldn’t be sure whether it was your will that had been rubbed down to nothing, or his sweet little words. Likely some mixture of both. But before you could think too much about it, you launched yourself into him, pressing your lips to his.
He was stiff at first, frozen in what you imagined to be shock. But, after a few seconds, you felt him wrap his arms around you, kissing you back before moving across your cheek and down your neck, humming into your skin. His voice was low and warm, sounding completely blissed out and it reminded you of a kitten purring.
“Okay...this is new.” He seemed hesitant to remind you that it was odd behavior.
“Do you want to keep talking, or do you want to come inside and show me what I’ve been missing out on?” You grumbled, curling your fingers into his hair when he gripped your thighs tightly, pushing open your door and bringing you inside.
