Bucky Barnes could not stand your guts in the slightest. It had been that way since your first day in Stark Tower. Steve had been trying for months to get you to talk to him, insisting that he “didn’t hate you” and “it’s all a misunderstanding, just give him a chance.” But, of course, you paid him no mind. You weren’t so dense as to miss the intimidating, brooding looks and the way he’d stop talking when you walked into a room, forcing everything to fall into an uncomfortable silence.
And while you hated to be one of those girls, you’d decided after a week or two that if Bucky was going to hate you for no reason, you were also going to hate him. Sure, maybe it was a little childish to hold a grudge without making any attempt whatsoever to try to befriend the giant. Even Stark had come to you on his behalf, promising that once you’d gotten to know him, he was a teddy bear. He may have had everyone else in Stark Towers fooled, but you weren’t impressed by Sergeant Barnes.
